I tried my first attempt with wire today. Nope, I don't have what it takes. There are so many cute ones out there these days I guess I'll just pay for the pre-made ones. Kudos to all of you who have accomplished wire design. I'm impressed!

LOL Pammy Jo! I actually admire you for trying it because even I haven't got that far! LOL...I see all the great ones on the Scrapbooking shows and have always wanted to try it, but I know I wouldn't be good at it...although I should try just to make sure...:p

Great job though at least you attempted it!! :)

I still haven't tried to make anything with the wire-I have some-just need to try it I suppose! I have to agree though-there are so many very nice wire items you can buy already made-no fuss!!

Did you try with the peg and grid board, I think it is pretty impossible to do anything but basic shapes without that. My boss at the store is amazing she does all kinds of things with wire. I am not that big of fan of it as I have seen it do some real damage to pictures on the opposite page. I did use some of the words from Making memories on a one page spread so far I haven't put anything on the opposite page.

I have been getting jealous of all the beautiful pages with wire. I didn't want to spend the money on new tools and the time learning how to do it; I was just getting the hang of eyelets and was spending all my money on those! Then I went to Michael's and saw the premade ones: they are gorgeous! Now I'll have to have them all!

I just haven't been able to get the hang of wire either. My dd loves it though and she's done some really cute pieces (one of two of them she gave to good 'ol mom, yea!)

I haven't actually used mine yet, just collecting, but from what I've seen, the easiest way to attach the embellishments is sewing them onto the page with embroidary floss in the same color or maybe clear thread.

Wow, that was a lot of commas!
