sometimes I want to smack my FIL

Last night the phone rang and DH picked it up. He then yells to ask me when I last talked to Christopher (ds in Iraq). I told him last week and went out to see what was going on. I then hear DH say we don't watch the news. I can see he is really getting ticked off. He hangs up the phone and said that was his dad on the phone. He just heard Americans were killed in the town that our DS is in and he was calling to see if he "got killed or something" #1 whenever DS calls we always call our families with up dates. #2 everyone knows we don't watch the news ( we will watch local things but turn when they start to talk about Iraq) in fact its a joke. People laugh and say don't ask them they don't watch the news. #3 "Has he been killed or something??????" why would you EVER call ANYONE and ask them that??????
