The scoring is way way low... I did not make top tent and got 20 credits... anyone make the top ten?? Was the creidts the same...

Well, if you didn't make the top ten, then your credits will always be 20. If you make the top ten, you get 750 credits...which still isn't a lot for twelve minutes of your life.

I'll post later if there's an issue with JC - once I can get home and play. ;-)

Yes, Jungle Cruise is different today. The timing is faster, and the scoring is lower. Took me a couple trips on the river to realize this and get my score up into the Top Ten. Still got 750 credits for that, however.

There were issues with Jungle Cruise initially when they did the Halloween overlay last month, so I hope this isn't a permanent change. It sure didn't make for a very relaxing cruise. :earseek:

I just had a chance to play and it appears that they have 'fixed' the JC game. By fixed, I mean, the score that the animal shows when you click it is the score that you actually get on the scoreboard. This means that JC is no longer like fireworks (where you have to wait till the last second to get the best points), it is the opposite (where you have to be fast to get the 'flawless,' best points).

We'll see if I can even make the top 10 anymore...

Goofy is right. I've done a video cap of both styles of play and compared them. Unless this is a bug, they finally fixed Jungle Cruise to play the way it says in the instructions.

Good to know.

Now I have to relearn how to play JC all over again.

This is actually way better for me, im used to doing things fast.

yeah flawless now gets the points... unfortunately I was hoping when they did a rehab on jungle cruise we would get more credits tho... oh well at least the game plays as the instructions say now...

Not if you get a "decent" score, which is 48,000... I've only gotten here once :rotfl2: .

Yeah, I'm still adjusting to a new mouse - which is super sensitive and difficult to control at a fast speed. As you can see, though, most days I will not be on the top ten list anymore. Oh well...there are more important things in life, I mean, VMK. ;-)

I'm so used to trying to wait, that I keep over shooting the animals with my mouse or I forget where the next one is. Lol! But I'm getting there. Looks to me like scoring is lower now as well. I'm getting less points even with flawless than I used to for like Elephants and some of the bigger animals.

I am having the same problem (though I must say you seem to be adjusting better than I am, LDE).

Months ago, I used to go real fast and know where every animal was. That usually got me scores in the low 50s. In fact, the way I figured out the trick to the old cruise was because I noticed that, as I got faster and more "flawless", my scores were going down! That didn't make any sense, and so I experimented until I discovered the trick to slow down. Overnight, my scores jumped almost 10,000 points.

Now, just as I had been "fine-tuning" my timing and framing on the old game, they had to go and change it! I can't seem to shake off the slower rhythm and get back to my previous fast speed (yet). I'm constantly forgetting where the animals are about to appear and will often move my mouse in the wrong direction. My steering has also suffered as a result, and I'm hitting more rocks than usual. Even though I haven't run out of gas, I find that these crashes have an effect on my game, too.

The whole thing has become more "arcade-y" (for want of a better word). There is no finesse to it -- and I am just not enjoying it as much!

Agreed...I feel like I'm playing so sloppily. It partially frustrates me and partially is a good challenge.

First level seems pretty simple enough as it gives you that little time to still get flawless. But the second and third, you have no mercy whatsoever. You need to hit them right when they appear or forget that flawless.

Another thing I've noticed...animals to the edge (i.e. flamingos on top left in Tiki room; giraffe's on the sides in Lost Party room) don't get the same framing as before. If I center the pointer on them, I get the lowest score (ok) now. So I'm trying to figure out where to center the shot now to get that flawless on them.

Today I played Fireworks right after as I usually do and...ouch...adjusting between the two games really got to me lol.

I sure do hope they make it so you can get more than 20 credits per trip. Its just not fun to do since you have to make the top 10 to actually get anything whereas you actually earn credits in all the other games.

I like this correction, at least now when I shoot I know my real score

It dawned on me this morning another benefit of the fix. This game doesn't take as long to play. I think it's about 3-5 minutes shorter playing time. AND I can actually waste gas in parts by accelerating without having to worry about running out.

Well, that's a good thing! I guess I'll have to play earlier in the day, though, since I honestly can't make the top ten by the end of the day.

Hopefully one day I will be able to again. lol

Okay - so I didn't see this post and freaked out when I saw my score, shot off a message to CL_LittleDragonErin, and she told me that the game had changed. I kind of like it better now - have to be quick!

Doesn't hurt that you have adjusted well, either. ;-)

Well I ran through twice this morning and thought I was going nuts!:) I am so glad to see this thread. :rotfl: I knew I had been finally getting up around the 53,000 mark lately with the new computer, but I could only make about 43,000 this morning both times. whew, at least it wasn't just me.;)
Kim

edited to add: though it does make me feel like I'm back playing on the old computer!:(
