We had originally planned on a WDW resort stay for the end of September/early October but there were no AP rates and we got an awesome deal on the 4 night cruise departing September 28th.
I just found out that the Leukemia/Lymphoma Triathalon is Sunday, September 28th at WDW. One of the athletes has a list of people who are fighting or who have fought blood related cancers. She trains in their honor and will carry their names with her across the finish line. One of the names she will be carrying is my dad's, he passed away in April of this year after a 3 month battle with blood cancer. I would have loved to have cheered her across the finish line. I didn't realize the event was at WDW until now.
If anyone is at WDW this Sunday, please give a huge cheer for all of the wonderful people who are participating in the triathalon to help people with blood cancers and their families. I am so touched that someone is participating in honor of my dad.

Watching him suffer was extremely difficult, but he carried his cross and is now enjoying peace in heaven...just as your Dad is I am sure. My heart goes out to you in knowing the sadness and loss you must feel.
