I can't wait to see what everyone else is doing. So far I only know 2 of them
Something Old: My grandmother's Engagement ring on my right hand
Something New: My dress and everything else I am wearing that day!
Something Borrowed: ???
Something Blue: ??

My something old borrowed and blue is on e thing (is that in keeping w/ tradition or does it need to be 3 seperate things?) An old hankercheif that was passed from my great grfandmother to my grandma to my mom and now to me. Each of the ladies held it at the weddin g and I will also....I might wrap it aroun d my flowers if it doesn't ruin the fabric (I would like my daughters...if I have one :goodvibes use it) it is white with blue embroidery!

I followed this tradition, I had the following.

Old - pearls wrapped around in my flowers
New - my dress, shoes and tiara
Borrowed - my necklace, bracelet, and veil
Blue - Flowers - I wasn't sure what to do for this, so I had the Disney florist add some blue flowers to my bouquet.

Old: my opal pendant/necklace that my uncle gave to me for my sixteenth birthday. He was in the service when I was born and was overseas. He bought it the day I was born and kept it until my 16th birthday..he even kept it a secret from me til I was about 13-14. I found out that he had something for me then that he had got the day I was born, but never knew what it was til the day I turned 16. He passed away when I was 20..so this was a must wear for my wedding. I made sure to have it on when we went dress shopping....I wouldn't even look at a dress that didn't go along w/the necklace/pendant.

New...everything else I was wearing, including opal braclet from mom and opal earings from DH

Borrowed. i wore a comb that my mom had as part of her veil. We took the veil of of it and put the comb (it had opal/pearly pieces and strands on it) inside of my bun. The pearls/opals were sticking out of my bun. I guess this would count as old, too.

Blue..I had a blue bow on my garter.

And wasn't there something w/a penny in your shoe, as well?? My grandmother gave me one and told me to put it in my shoe... :wizard:

Here's mine:
Something old: an old silver piece of coinage from the 1850s that my grandmother had given my faher who gave it to me.

Something new: the dress, etc

Something borrowed: pearl earings and necklace from my MOH

Something blue: my garter and my undies said "bride" in blue embroidery

old - grandmother's earrings
new - gown, etc.
borrowed - aunt's earrings (double piercings)
blue - garter and undies...

old/borrowed- my grandmother's wedding ring
new-pretty much everything else
blue- mickey heads in my hair, my blue flip flops and my flowers

Old: A bracelet that has been passed through my family for 5 generations. It was made in the 1820s, and it just a little too snug on my wrist. If I flex at all, the clasp will open. We had Disney put it in my flowers... along with an opal ring my pseduo-grandmother gave me for my Sweet Sixteen.

New: My dress.

Borrowed: I borrowed perfume from my best friend. She gave it to me as my gift at my bridal shower.

Blue: Garter. I wanted to wear a blue sapphire tennis bracelet I have, but it didn't work with the Swarovski cuff!

And my Aunt (my officiant) brought me a sixpence from the UK to put in my shoe. Little known fact, but, "And a sixpence in your shoe," is the last line of the poem.

I did the sixpence as well, which led to the challenge of figuring out how it goes 'in' a flip flop. Thank goodness they make hot glue. hehe
