So we were down in the area this week doing some other things and decided to go to EPCOT and use a complimentary ticket that we recieved on our last stay. We knew it was going to be a busy day so we got there early to get to Guest Services to get our tickets and enter early enough to get some rides in. I also knew that because we werent resort guests we werent going to be able to use the app to do our FP+ selections, so we hightailed it to the nearest FP+ kiosk. In the complimentary tickets that we received we also got 4 anytime any attraction paper FP's, so we were able to select Test Track and still be able to use the paper FP for Soarin, so the tiering didnt stop us. I asked the CM that helped us make our selections, and he said until EPCOT got some more headliners, the tiering was there to stay. (take that for what it is) Here's where the interesting thing occured. The attendants at the kiosk told us that if we wanted to make changes to our FP+ selections we would need to come back to the kiosks because that functionality has not been extended to offsite guests. I already kind of knew that info from the boards. Several CM's did say to us that it should be available in the next few weeks, and that they are trying to get through the Spring Break rush. (Take that info for what it is) However, on a whim I connected our tickets to my MDE app, and boom! I was able to manage and change my same day FP+ selections. By 9:45 there was nothing left for the headliners, and everything else was pushed out till 7pm or later (we were interested in Illuminations), so we just left the choices we had. This also did not allow any kind of double dipping, because I could only change the selections that were attached to those RFID tickets, and could not add anything extra. Now it might be becasue I had Magic Bands still active from when we tested in September, or was a glitch because of past resort stays, but it might be that the functionality has been turned on, and they just havent released the info to the public yet.

If this is old news I apologize, but I have been out of pocket for a few days. Plus I thought this might help someone who is in the World during this busy Spring Break season.

Thanks for posting this, as we will be using CM entry from a family member and won't be able to select our FP+ until we enter the park...even after the new day guest policy takes effect and they get it at 30 days. I am hoping that this means we will be able to link the entry pass once we enter the park and will be able to make FP+ selections on the fly instead of at a kiosk. DH is all into the tech side of this so he will be happy to be able to use his ipod. ;)

If you are using the CM's guest passes (these are the ones where you need to have the CM enter with you) You CANNOT link them at all. It will cause their tickets to be VOIDED. If they have given you a complimentary ticket (ones that you can just go on your own) CMs have been instructed to not link these at this time either.
