Something happening in November with DVC???

I got a call from a DVC salesman on Friday, which brought a little sun into my windburnt and frostbitten northern Pennsylvanian life, but my interest was peaked when he said that something BIG is coming up with DVC in November, but (of course) he could not tell me.

Has anyone heard what it is?

November seems a long time to wait. I was sad to see the rumour at Mouseplanet about DVC at Contemporay has disappeared. Hope it is a monorail resort addition.

Maybe it is a new billboard.
Well now that you mention it. . . . This has been at the intersection of BVD and Bonnett Creek for sometime now.

I looked behind it there is a concrete pier for a billboard

Yes, I know. That is why I posted what I posted.

Strange your saleman would say that to you. Are you a member already? What was the context he said that in? Obviously the only "big" thing they could possibly do is a new resort...I would think

As of yesterday 2/20/06 this billboard has been replaced. So far it's a DVC Truck, I don't remember what it said on it, but it also was still unfinished. Looks like there will be something above the truck and there was a lift/crane still on site.

Didn't you hear... They are making a 5th Theme park for DVC only. The park will have all the best rides and restaurants from all the other parks and only DVC people can get in. Of course being the way we are sometimes, we will still complain about something ;-)

OK, last night I got a better look at this, it's really not a truck, but more like a Minnie-Van, with Goofy Driving, I remember Donald hanging out one window, and the antenna has a banner streaming behind.....
Really need to get a photo for you, maybe next week unless one of the other locals can get over sooner.....

I hear anyone heading for the Bonnett Creek resort will get a free Disney shuttle bus ride to the nearest DVC sales booth.

Probably the increase in our dues to pay for said new park... :smooth:

Just got back from disney today and saw that exact billboard. It is a minnie-van with all the characters in the van and it tells about the best kept secret in Disney. I have actually see a lot more advertising for DVC recently.

They're not doing a very good job keeping that secret.

I like how people on this board are calling the minivan a Minnie-van!

The photo isn't coming up.

Crazy Hakim called it a Minnie-van. I just assumed that was a clever way of saying that Minnie was doing the driving. No?
