I am sitting here blubbering away like a baby-i do everytime i see this and other footage of Christian and his owners.They bought him from Harrods in 1969.George Adamson(founder of Born Free)helped them release him back to the wild in Kenya,that is George in the video.When they were reunited with Christian the first time,Christian 'introduced' them to his lioness partner.They visited more than once+each time Christian stopped by.x.

Yes,i love this story,also the other stories of what Joy+George done for other lions+lionesses.I donate to the Born Free Fund.

They visited Christian every year until the last time in 1974.Christian had'nt returned to George's camp/home in 9months,George was adamant he was'nt coming back+had completley taken to the freedom with his 2 lionesses,and there cubs.But Christian's owners still wanted to come.The night before they were due to fly,Christian turnt up on his favourite rock near George's home+stayed there all night,as if he knew they were coming to see him one more time.Christian once again met his owners+played with them once more.When they saw Christian go back to his lionesses,they did'nt(this time)take to kindly to Christian mixing with the humans and they hissed+growled at him.That is why this was to be there last trip,as they did'nt want him to become segregated from his pride+family,that George worked so hard for him to be free.A terrible shame that Joy Adamson was murdered+George Adamson was killed by a poacher.x.

Apparantly a re-release of the book is due soon.2 films were made,one for the UK called Christian-The Lion At World's End,one for the US called 'Christian-The Lion Who Thought He Was People'.x.
