Something different: April or June?

As my sig shows, I've been planning to take DS for his 8th birthday celebration in April 2006. His birthday is actually in January, but we can't go then and he wanted to be able to swim while there, hence the April date. However, the school calendar just came out and our April break falls right over Easter - I shudder to think of the crowd levels! The last time we had a family birthday commando trip was in late August, and it spoiled us (ten minute waits, etc). I'd love to put off the trip until late August again, but I don't think the little guy could stand waiting even longer. We'll be in Florida anyway right after school gets out in late June - will the crowds be just as bad?

We can handle the heat, it's just the humanity that gets to us!

IMHO, the crowds in June are high, but not as bad as spring break time (March and April). Using fastpass makes it easier, as well as avoiding MK on Saturday. Of course, the earlier in June you can go, the smaller the crowds.

Generally I would say April is preferable to June, but not with late Easter next year. I'd advise the earliest you can possible get there in June. We've gone the first week in June and will be there the second week this year. It's not August crowds, but it's doable. It's also more comfortable than the years we went in July, which is what I expect your Augusts were like.

Happy birthday to your DS! :bounce: :bounce:
