Come on Spring so tired of the cold weather and the yo yo 50 , 40 and 30 degrees :headache: and now another round of snow coming in tomorrow plus not helping with my cold :sad2:
It's supposed to cool down again this weekend but I won't tell you what the temps are going to be...I don't want to get yelled at.

I'm glad your dad is making progress Rose. I'll keep praying and you keep us posted.
Yes indeed...glad to hear!

Hey everyone!

What a terrible storm we had last night. Power outages, trees down, one utility pole fell on a nearby gas station!

Have to go teach a mommy and me program tonite in the pool...

Catch you all laters....

Poor Fletch!!

Don't you bring in anything like rice cakes, fruit, raw veggies?

Drink some water......You are doing such a great job with this - don't cave in now!!!!

MF. . whadya eat today??

So far I've had 2 yogurts, an apple, an orange, a banana and two pieces of 12 grain bread. I've drank 3 big glasses of water/green tea trying to trick my tummy into thinking it's full. . . it's so not satisfying.

Sweet Lord Jesus in Heaven ... it only took us a full year, but Mike and I **finally** bought a new bed. For wonders never cease .....

We tried the BellaSonna bed that I thought we'd like and it was too firm. So we went with the Tempur Pedic Celebrity. Bonus, that was a bit cheaper than the BellaSonna. Actually, every single time we go bed shopping that was the bed that we kept coming back to. They did a sleep test on us and everything too. I don't really understand the sleep test, but he only directed us to a few beds based on the results.

We got comped free delivery, but do you guys tip the delivery guys? When Sears delivers a new appliance or the one furniture store I have an account with delivers something, they don't accept tips. But I'm guessing that these people will? Plus the Tempur Pedics are really heavy so these guys will be humping it. Mike said I should give them enough to buy a decent lunch with ... does that sound right?

Rose, glad your father is doing better!

Mary, beautiful pics of your bedroom!

I want a new kitchen ... that will happen in about 8 years from now...

I don't really like packing my moving boxes to go to a new thread. Maybe I'll pay the delivery guys extra tomorrow to do it for me. :snooty:

Have fun dieting. I really need to and I give you guys a lot of credit, but this fat butt is waiting on a pizza delivery with extra sausage, and I think I just heard Mike crack open a beer. I am pretty sure one has my name on it too. Tomorrow is my annual physical. I am quite sure my doctor is going to question my cholesterol and ask, yet again, and I am quoting here, "Have you had a lot of indiscretions lately?" I'm sure she won't want to know ALL my indiscretions. Is there such a thing as TMI with your family physician?????

Hi all :wave2:
Another quick fly by....
I went to visit my dad today in the hospital. I didn't go yest, as I was really tired all day and had a couple of errands to run yest.
Anyways, my dad is doing better healthwise. He still is nothing by mouth, but the doc is going to clamp his NG tube and see how he does for a few hours. If he does well, then they will take out hte NG tube and get him on a clear liquid diet. He was up in a chair when I showed up. A friend of the family was htere when I showed up. Actually it's my cousin's father-in-law. Cousin's FIL tends to talk quite a bit and my dad never really liked him, so I'm sure my dad was glad I was there when this guy was there :rotfl2: They get along, its just that this guy is very nosey all the time and my dad doesn't like it.
Anyways, the surgeon showed up to check on my dad in the meantime. Eveything looks good. Saw the surgeon was wearing a red white and blue striped mouse ears pin.

Ok, gotta run as I'm late gettign kids off the bus.
I;ll try to finish story later.

Mac- I PM'd you recently.

got it and already answered it......

that is good your dad is able to sit up today.
will he have help when he goes home?
will your mom take off work to take care of him the first few days?

have him and the family in my prayers still.
thanks for updating us.

i'll have my people call those people for a better view....

and all the pizza you can chow down.

wendy gets the good bread without the crust when we splurge on the grub

Do I get to pick who I share it with? :scratchin :hyper:

it depends

we have to approve of him/her first

Hey everyone!

Have to go teach a mommy and me program tonite in the pool...

Catch you all laters....

if the kids are brats, do you let them sink?

Good heavens NO! He is not my type. Too pretty and broody and... something... I don't know. He never did it for me.

I'll have to think of someone drool worthy.

the muffin man always makes me drool.
pillsbury's best.

do you do the sleep test naked?

what if you make noises while you sleep, or wet.......
do you get that mattress with a discount then?

i need a new bed.

once you/mike and mary sleep on the new ones a week, let me know which one to buy.

i get too confused to make a big purchase like a bed.
for one of the cats, i usually end up buying 4 different types of dry food as she is so finicky at times and i hate to see her go hungry.

Congrats on the bed purchase Jodie!

Yes, if the delivery people can accept a tip, enough to buy them lunch is fine.

Brad sometimes gets tips when he delivers a trailer. He never expects them, but it's nice when it happens. We usually go out to eat when he does. The last tip he got was $20. The 4 of us went to a local buffet and the total was $23 (plus a few dollars tip on the table). It was a nice way to offset him being gone for half of our only day off.

He has gotten as much as $100 for a tip, but that was when he had to haul the tractor out and put a trailer on the side of a friggin mountain. He earned that!

Mac, I will surely let you know. I think I have too much OCD for a sleep # bed, and I'd be changing the number all night. :lmao: I am very excited!!

Tricia, thanks for the tip on tipping! :thumbsup2

Pizza's here so I got to go. I'm sorry, I really hope Wendy and Fletch know I am not rubbing anything in, and it's really meant to be self-deprecating in that I'm lazy and growing fatter by the day. :rolleyes1 Keep up the good work, you guys! I really am jealous of your weight loss and commitment!

wah, i'll never figure out how to multi-quote....

mac said this;)
got it and already answered it......

can your people call my people...funny names:laughing:

there's probably a syndrome on the books already;) what # are you lol? like that commercial where the older woman is a higher number & the husband is a low number.

i've never tipped a furniture delivery person:confused3 who knew?

ps is that a new tag or does it just jump out at me whilst i'm on the laptop who's battery is waning?

we had pizza & steak hoagies for dinner, i just didn't feel like running to the grocery store...shameful...had to order enough pizza for packed lunches tomorrow; fresh outta lunch meat too:)

just heard that the supposed stripper on idol did his thing in predominately male establishmentspopcorn:: i could care less. Do wonder who's reviewing the applications for the program and how it will effect his vote getting future with the heartland of america? Thought his performance last week was fantastic, yesterday-decent.

I actually start training at my location tomorrow. :woohoo:

And no, the "THOUSAND" I have added occasionally has nothing to do with my location. The seagull thing is a long-standing inside joke that was invented by former posters who were trying to figure out where I was. One said "he must be one of those seagulls." For one reason or another, the joke stuck. :upsidedow

Albuquerque is on my list of places to visit. Can't wait to hear all about it! Sounds like a fun trip to me. ::yes::

On 2nd thought, my sisters & I take a summer trip together every year. Now that I think about it, I don't know if it sounds like fun or not.
Shhhh.... don't tell them I said that. :ssst:

It will be fun because I will get some piece & quiet for the first time since before Christmas break.

We have hurricane days. In 11 years, my DS has only missed 2 hurricane days though. They could have gone those days too. It was an anticipation of the big storm thing.

Dang it! There you go messing with my plans to move to Florida. I do not want to be in the path of a Hurricane.

So, are you volunteering to work the concession stand every night, until it warms up? :teeth:

:rolleyes1 You better believe it!

I was diagnosed with arthritis, when I was 27. At the time, I was reffing HS bball & thought I had a kidney infection or something similar. I had my back surgery about 6 yrs ago.

How awful. I am so sorry you have had to suffer through all that for so long.

we are having the remodeler put in 4 hot tubs.
you get one of your own......

or you can share.

Wow! It sounds like a fabulous place!

I have your number.
you can't get lost this time lori.

the search party last time had a heck of a time finding you.

it will be a snap this time.

I will return on Tuesday!

I'm hungry!

 Sorry! Hang in there.

Come on Spring so tired of the cold weather and the yo yo 50 , 40 and 30 degrees :headache: and now another round of snow coming in tomorrow plus not helping with my cold :sad2:

Woo Hoo! Bet it feels good to finally get that decision made. Glad Tricia answered your question.

Same here Jodie. I really have to do something. Where can I find the motivation. We are eating a little healthier tonight. We are grilling chicken.

Okay, honestly now, when we are visiting you are going to let us know where you are so we can stop by and say hi, aren't you? Or at least meet with us when we all get together?
