I have 100% faith in our Bev ;)

Me too!

this is neat.... :goodvibes pretty. cute. WARM!!!!

Thanks!

How'd he do????

Not so great. He really messes up his arm last year an is having a hard time getting it back.

Okay...I draw the line here...that is dangerous and NOT an option! (although, tying him to a chair is a thought :scratchin )

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao: He's SUCH a 'genius', he didn't think to turn them in at different times :lmao: But, ya gotta admit.....good plan :thumbsup2

We got quite a laugh out of it.

Nite!

By the way....what's the new 'last' thing in your sig? (It's just a red "x" right now :confused3 )

I put in the v50 ticker so I could see how many days I had left. Guess I made them go over their bandwidth. :sad2:

Mornin folks...I'm off today and will probably goof off most of the day. :woohoo:

Woo Hoo!:woohoo:

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING!

Hey, it's cold again!? It's in the 40's! Any colder and I'll have to look for that darn coat. But at least it's FRIDAY!

Mornin Fletch. It is that warm here this morning!

Lori - Mikeys story about the homework pass sounds like something my DS would do.

:) jennifer

The strangest thing about it is that is totally out of character for Mikey. I could have seen Chris doing something like that, even selling them, but not Mikey! :confused3

lori - the bird poop thing had me :lmao: :lmao:

Glad I could give you a laugh!

This plea is to the DING lords.....PLEASE, PLEASE, DING me for Orlando very soon at your wonderful 49-58 rate???? Did I say please??

Please ding lords send Tracie a ding!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

lori - funny evil genius story. u r right, i've been waiting for CRV (not too keen on the Kingdom Tower-reminds me of Dark Tower novel by Mr. King:confused: ; vaguely sinister...of course we think the hallways @ WLV have The Shining Vibe going too:laughing: ; wonder if mr King is a secret imagineer?) I'm just blah on it, afraid their will be no studios & we'll be priced out of the market.

Oh great! Now I am going to have that stuck in my mind if I ever stay there.

Just before we stayed at VWL for Christmas in 06 someone on the DVC board mentioned that hall and the Shining. It had never entered my mind. Well our room was at the very end of that very long hall. Every time I walked down it alone that creepy thought would come back into my mind. Redrum, redrum. Oh and I could see Jack's face.

I think there will be studios and it will just be a few dollars a point increase. That is my story and I'm sticking to it. I also say that when the other most expensive per night is 13 points then CRV will be 15.

Good Morning homies :goodvibes

Morning Lawrence.

Where's Mac? Barb left the light on and the doors unlocked all night. I'm not cleaning up the dog poop. I get enough of that from Daniel, thank you. :snooty:

:lmao:

I think Janet decided to share her back problems with me. Mine hasn't bothered me in months, but it's giving me fits this morning. :headache:

Ouch! Get better. Hope that didn't hurt. I tried not to squeeze very hard. :wizard:

My email box had 51 messages this morning. Notifications from WEDNESDAY's posts. I am slowly getting yesterday's now in batches. Fun.

I have gotten rid of my email notifications on almost all of my threads since Marcie told me how to get to the last place read by going to my CP.

My niece drove up with a friend of hers yesterday afternoon and they are staying with Carol for the weekend. I guess I'll have to play hostess at some point and go do some tourist stuff with them. Melanie always wants to go to Babyland General. Why? I don't know. Is seeing a babydoll born from a cabbage head really that much fun? Again?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

doubtful on AKV unless DH "falls in lust" if we're able to score a room there in October; disposable income is spoken for this year on our grand tours (the ones we were trying to sneak in before ma's health turned south) i'm afraid...may have to go out on a limb & finance CR if it starts selling before next yearpopcorn::

You know I may be completely wrong but my thoughts are that they are not going to start selling it until the beginning of next year. At least we can hope.

Penny, the CB is better entertainment than Jerry Springer. Did I ever tell you about the time I got ripped a new one for saying no to being in a friend's wedding? Did you know that made me THE ... MOST .... SELFISH .... PERSON..... EVER!!!!!!!!!

The community board can be a very scary place.

ps posting here has made me feel so much better this am:hug:
do believe this is akin to therapy, keeping me relatively sane
as my grammie would say, děkuji! (thank you!)
now, for some comfort food, pierogis sound good today:thumbsup2

It does do that, doesn't it? Glad you are coming out of your funk.

Hi Guys! Sorry - I haven't even had a chance to read, let alone post! :guilty: Heading out now to go skiing with DS12 and head to Madison for the Math competition tomorrow. Won't have internet, so I guess I won't see you peeps until tomorrow night!

You can amuse yourself with birthday wishes if you want! ;) Matt turns 16 on Sunday and DH (Royce) turns, well - a lot more than 16, tomorrow! :rotfl:

Have a great weekend all!

Have fun Marcie!

Happy Birthday Matt & Royce!

And poop is poop. I'm not cleaning any of it up around here 'cause I get enough at home. Yes, Daniel had another finger painting in the poop moment last night. Why, oh WHY, is it so fascinating to him? Why?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You poor thing!

I can answer you now without asking. Nobody, but NOBODY, acknowledges any Cabbage Patch Kid prior to Xavier Roberts incorporating his Original Appalachian Artworks, which was 1978.

You can read up on the history and stuff on eBay:

Interesting. I wonder why they refuse to acknowledge the previous ones? :guilty:

yetch - that really made me a little bit ill  :guilty:

Ewwwwwwwwww! Thanks for sharing.

i'm being a good daughter today, ma requested tomato soup & grilled cheese...it's all good.

Sounds like a great plan. Unfortunately I don't think I could walk Ally the 4 miles to school and back.

74% is over 50%, so the odds are in your favor, goof. But the extra 1% is always given to the House.
:jester:

You are such a pain! J/K!

So why don't you want us to know where you will be working? Most of us won't even be down there until after you move to Colorado. And we really aren't nuts. Promise! :rolleyes1

It's party of the Mystery. You have to Find Me. Think of it as a treasure hunt. :p

I *think* it has to do with authenticating a collectible.

There were a lot of people in this area that made dolls and crafts. Still are. Xavier Roberts started entering competitions when he was in college for his handmade dolls and crafts. He won some big deal in... 1976 or 1977... can't remember now... and came back home (here, to Cleveland GA) and rented the old (as in 1900s) medical clinic and turned it into Babyland General. He incorporated Original Appalachian Artworks and opened Babyland General to the public in 1978. The Cabbage Patch Kids concept was sold and mass produced, but Xavier Roberts maintained the rights to and control of Original Appalachian Artworks, which is why you can still buy a completely cloth, handmade, adoptable doll at Babyland General (as long as you are willing to spend $200 or more).

So, if you want to authenticate that you have anything from the official line of Cabbage Patch Kids, it has to come from Original Appalachian Artworks.

That is my guess, anyway. :confused3

Okay so we are going to have to count on Jodie & Tracie to find you. I don't think anyone else will be there before you move. Wait, when is it you are moving again. Maybe Barb, Lawrence & I will be there before then.

Very, very interesting!

So this doll Barb has, is it from before that time or after?

I vacate the state in August.

And to those that are hoping to find me, Good Luck! :p

Hi all-
Quick fly by.
I can't catch up, sorry.
Thank you all so much for your prayers and good thoughts :goodvibes
Thanks, Penny, for your PM :)

PLEASE keep on praying. My dad is having surgery on his bowels as I am typing. I was just at the hospital a couple of hours ago. My mom was there.
My dad was waiting to go down for x-rays. He was very tired.
When they took my dad down for x-rays, my mom and I went to lunch at the hospital cafeteria. Then I left from there to go home. Actually I had to stop for an errand on my way home.
I got home and my mom calls to tell me they are going to do surgery on my dad right now. I don't know any details other than his bowels are really obstructed. So they are doing bowel obstruction surgery I suppose.

Please keep praying that the surgeon removes everything that is obstructing his bowels and hopefully they won't find any cancer that metastisized (this is my fear).

Not sure if I'll bbl or not.

Thanks, homies for your support :goodvibes
