For all of those who requested it....here is the niece that SIL (Jim's sis) and BIL had yesterday:
january2008040.jpg

she is still unnamed. I think Jim and kbean are going up tonight to see her and, of course, take more pics :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

didn't you give the parents the names jodie suggested?
belle or tink.........

i thought those were good ones.

you know, she will probably end up being called sissy so it doesn't matter what name they give her.
i had that happen to me growing up.

Bucket lists ...

I can offer up my brother for those of you who mentioned San Francisco. He lives and works there. I'm sure he'd put you up for a few days!

Here is my bucket list:

Visit the Reagan Library

Cruise Alaska

Pet a Polar Bear on the Head and Survive

Go through the Panama Canal

Beat Steve Nash in a Free Throw Competition

Write a novel (I have the title, just need the story ..... ) & Get it published and sold as a movie, which turns into a blockbuster, which wins an academy award for best writing, and I will graciously receive my award by saying something outrageous like "It's a child, not a choice! Lower taxes for all Americans! My kid beat up your honor roll student!"

Drink my way through Ireland after visiting Stratford-upon-Avon (did you know I was a Shakespearean Scholar in college?)

So far I have crossed off
Buying my own home
Getting my masters degree
Getting married
Going horseback riding on the beaches of Mazatlan
Swimming with a sea lion
Being Interviewed on television
Being in a TV commercial

And, I thought I would share reasons 8,984 and 8,985 why I am not a parent:

(please excuse laundry day)

Came home from work today and decided to have a Bloody Mary:

Yes, not only do I stand by and watch. I take pictures.

Happy Hump Day everyone! Hope everyone's weeks are looking up: Tricia, Lawrence, Marcie, Penny, Rose, Raven, and everyone!

Tracie, beautiful baby! Lobby for "Tink" for me, eh? And honestly, I love children I get to give back. :)

MF, might I recommend a good colon cleanse? Or perhaps Kinoki Foot Pads to accelerate your weight loss holistically? :rotfl:

Yeah sissy is what she will be called most likely. According to Ally, Miranda is sissy, Chris is big bubba, and Mikey is just Mikey.

You have a great list, not sure how you are going to accomplish that polar bear and surviving though? What commercial were you in? Didn't know you were a celebrity! :worship:

I still say you would make an excellent mommy! Probably one of the best ever.

MF, might I recommend a good colon cleanse? Or perhaps Kinoki Foot Pads to accelerate your weight loss holistically? :rotfl:

Hi homies!

You know they say we should all do a good colon cleanse two or three times a year. :headache: My neighbor was talking about it the other day, and she used to be a nurse, so it was very umm, interesting?

Now how did I miss the update on your visit to the dentist. Apparently your dentist talks about Universal. I never saw that post. Hope everything with the tooth is fixed.

:lmao: Okay, it is NOT funny that you are hobbling around and hurting... but that is one of the best smileys I've seen in a while.

Except Barb's pirate banana in her siggie. I look at him every time. It took me forever to figure out that he was holding a sword and not something else.

Let's just hope the cat doesn't decide to play with it. :scared1:

I thought the EXACT same thing! I even imagined the *poof* if kitty popped the air cast! :scared1:

Tricia, I'm so glad to hear that Carol is doing well! I hope that Joshua is staying seizure free and that he will remain that way! I know that really threw you for a loop.

Hey Alison! Yes, Carol continues to improve. I talked with her twice yesterday and she was down right b*tchy. Must be getting better if she is fussing!

And, yeah, the seizures threw me for several loops. My head is still spinning.

I only lost 2 pounds yesterday? (Must have been the Cheetos) I guess you can only sandbag once in a bet like this?

I had to do my crosswords (at least number 2 down) this morning because I have to go to the doctor and it's the check up where he violates me. Last time I started moaning in pleasure so he would feel as uncomfortable as I do.
I hope he has a miracle drug for weight loss.

You ONLY lost 2 pounds in ONE DAY? Poor baby. Once again I have to squash my initial "bite me" reaction and say, "way to go."

Good luck with the violation testing. Do you get the turn-your-head-and-cough one too? Might as well get all felt up at once. :confused3 Have him buy you dinner first. Otherwise, you're just giving it away. ;)

What a cutie! :cutie:

Both of mine enter this world with hair. The nurses kept brushing it and playing with it. Every shift change, my boy would have a new hairdo. I put my foot down when they wanted to add ribbons and bows.

GrandCanyon & most of the "big" western state parks is on that list of places to go that i keep in my mind...not enough paper in the world to write it all down...i want it ALL:) dream large:wizard:
moot point with the $ so low, yet ashamed to say DH & I are in agreement that we don't want to slap a target on our backs & travel to Europe anytime soon

Me too. Me too. And me too.

i have a visitor tonight. bringing pizza. yea!

Ooooo... I like visitors that show up with pizza! :cool1:

:lmao: Okay, it is NOT funny that you are hobbling around and hurting... but that is one of the best smileys I've seen in a while.

I thought the EXACT same thing! I even imagined the *poof* if kitty popped the air cast! :scared1:

That is a very cute smilie and that was what I was thinking, the kitty decides to play with it, sticks in a claw and then it goes "pop"/

I guess I need to look at Barb's pirate better, never noticed.

Glad Carol is getting B*tchy!

Sorry but that song "I'm so dizzy my head is spinnin" just popped in to my head. Hang in there.

Again, me too. But way to go MF!

Hi Lori, yes, my dentist left for FL this morning. And she borrowed Kelly's book from me. You are very sweet to ask, and yes, she fixed my tooth, 'cept it's driving me nuts. She intentionally left the bonding thick so it wouldn't fall off this time, and it's thicker than my other teeth. To the point where my tongue is getting sore because it automatically goes to the thick tooth as if to say, "this isn't supposed to be here!"

I was in a commercial for AT&T a few years back!

Dare I ask how the nurse described the colon cleanse? :scared1:

MF, might I recommend a good colon cleanse? Or perhaps Kinoki Foot Pads to accelerate your weight loss holistically? :rotfl:

Oh I'm doing the colon cleanse the day before the weigh in. What do those Kinoki Foot Pads taste like? I'm just about hungry enough to try anything. In fact my can sense it and swings wide around me.
The doctor said I could wait until July to give him 3rd base. God, I hate the big glob of vaseline he shoves up there. I feel greasy for a week after that.
The doctor thinks I have sleep apnea and thinks I should wear one of these:darth: to bed.

Bucket list:
Win lottery.
Watch an episode of the American Idol (I'll wait until my death bed for this though.)
Stop World hunger.
Teach my dog to stay out of the trash.
Keep my kids out of jail.
Paint the bathroom.
Mud wrestle.
Do the laundry.:laundy:
Ride dirty.
Initiate World peace.
Ride the Simpsons! Woo hoo!

i am having difficulty getting on to post.
ever since the new upgrade system was installed on the dis, i have had my issues connecting.

last night i could not get on.
i kept getting an error message.
sometime in the morning hours i did get on and tried to post.

i sat there for over 45 minutes trying to get that baby to post and it wouldn't.
i ended up doing 2 cw puzzles on line waiting.

Aw, Raven. Don't they know not to stand between us and our DIS??? I didn't have any problem last night, but I was off by 9pm or so.

Hi all-
Sorry, been MIA :guilty: Been very busy yesterday.
Chrissy was sick so I had her stay home yest and take a sick day from school yest. She came home on monday from school very tired and shivering. She said she felt like that the last hour of school. Anyways, she had a fever and had a runny nose. By Monday night she was shivering real bad,. Kept giving her Motrin every 6 hrs. She was real tired on Tues morning, so had her stay home. She seemed to have broken her fever sometime on Tues morning. I gave her a bath and washed her sheets, etc. She was fine after that. I did have to drag Chrissy yest afternoon for Matthew's band practice(since band practice is at another school).
Matthew had his first band concert last night! He did great! I don't remember if I mentioned what he played before, but he plays the clarinet. I asked my mom at the last minute to watch Chrissy at home last night, so we didn't have to drag Chrissy to the concert last night. I did manage to pick up Burger King for dinner on our way home from band practice yest afternoon(need BK smilie here). I was pretty exhausted yest afternoon and last night.

Today, both kids are at school(Matthew has a cold, too, but not that bad).
Now I have a massive headache, woke up with it this morning w/ a slight sore throat. :headache:
I hope I don't get a phone call today to go pick up my kids.

Somebody else in the "no phone call from school" boat.

I hope the kids get/stay healthy. Yuck.

Quick flyby before I'm late for work (is anybody noticing a trend here?)! Mom called late last night. Sounds good. The dialysis went well. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards they left him in his room. He decided he would try to use the bedpan himself (okay, I'm sorry, TMI!) and fell off the bed, not near the call button. Guess he had to yell for like a half hour before someone came and helped him. Brother who's a lawyer is not happy. Apparently dad now has a special "Falling Star" :rotfl: sign on his door, which in medical parlance at this hospital means "keep your eye on this guy and come immediately if you hear anything or his button rings!"

His numbers were all down yesterday, which is what they want, but for right now they don't know if it's because they cleaned everything out but when the kidneys have to function on their own they won't or if they solved the problem at least for now. Evidently today will tell. If the numbers stay fine, then he'll probably go home tomorrow. He ate some real food yesterday - first time in nearly a week. But if the numbers start to climb back up again, then they'll have to put in a permanent shunt (? - not sure of the term, maybe port?) so that he can get dialysis regularly. Hopefully we'll know a lot more tonight!

Tricia - our forecast is also a winter storm warning, but for 6 inches of snow beginning tonight. Better not be a snow day because tomorrow (and today) are finals. DS12 takes 2 classes (math and science) at the high school. Apparently everyone in his science class (mostly DS14's classmates and friends) hate him because he's doing so well. Last test class average was a 57, he got a 100. Today after I picked him up after the final to drive him to the middle school he said "well, they still all hate me". Teacher graded the tests and once again he got the only 100. He can't understand how the other kids can find it hard - he was like "Mom, the questions were exactly the same as the study sheet he gave us. They even had the same NUMBERS!" :confused3 Going to guess others didn't look at the study sheet!

So, you are raising the kid that blows the grading curve for the rest of us. :teacher:  :lmao:

Our "winter storms" are never much. Even when we get ice or snow, it only lasts for a day... maybe two. People just freak out like it's going to be weeks and weeks.

I hope your dad's numbers continue to look good. Oh, I can't imagine getting the "Falling Star" sign on the door.

i am behind in the thread and so tired right now.

i'll just spin thru the daily updates then:

i'm off to curves if i can sneak in there today.

I love your Cliff Notes! Good luck with the sneak to Curves, but it sounds like you might need a nap more.

Hope you have lots of money to play with. You can come join us in July!

Your mouth, God's ear. ;)

Here is my bucket list:

Cruise Alaska

I cruised the Inside Passage. Wonderful. I highly recommend it.

And, I thought I would share reasons 8,984 and 8,985 why I am not a parent:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Did kitty get his head stuck? If not, then you aren't a bad Mommy... :confused3

You know they say we should all do a good colon cleanse two or three times a year. :headache: My neighbor was talking about it the other day, and she used to be a nurse, so it was very umm, interesting?

Oh, I can imagine that conversation. :scared1:

Those nurses wanted to put ribbons and bows in our boys hair?????:scared1:

Yep. Had to get REAL specific when one nurse kept cooing, "But he's so pretty."

Okay, I HATE when your tongue does that and you can't make it stop!

Describe the commercial. I have to look for it on YouTube now... :rolleyes1

Bucket list:

Teach my dog to stay out of the trash.

Once you teach your dog, wanna come teach mine?

Hi Lori, yes, my dentist left for FL this morning. And she borrowed Kelly's book from me. You are very sweet to ask, and yes, she fixed my tooth, 'cept it's driving me nuts. Dare I ask how the nurse described the colon cleanse? :scared1:

Oh I hate it when that happens. How long is it supposed to be like that? Is it just supposed to wear off or do you have to go back to get it buffed down?

Well, the nurse was talking about people picking "it" up with a pencil and taking pics of it to show people what had come out of them, of "it' being like black tar, of the parasites that come out along with "it". Just really disgusting conversation during Ally's b'day party the other night.

She is a real hoot though. They moved in I think around October. She has never lived in the country and she is constantly calling to aks me about some animal she has seen and then freaks when I tell her what it probably was. Think she had a bobcat in her front yard the other night, has also already seen a pack of coyotes in the middle of the day that she thought were german shepards!

She has also already told me I need to discuss with her mother about the **** job she had. Said I really needed to look in to it! :scared1: Yeah, I had only known her for a little over a month when we had that conversation. :lmao:

Oh I'm doing the colon cleanse the day before the weigh in. What do those Kinoki Foot Pads taste like? I'm just about hungry enough to try anything. In fact my can sense it and swings wide around me.

A good colon cleanse should take more than a day to do and you want to do a good one. I'm thinking the foot pads wouldn't taste very good though.

Good luck on beating that hunger. :headache:

busy bunch this afternoon:)

mac - nice summary! I just try to keep thangs rollin along...gotta keep rollin along:dance3: add the relase of song of the south on DVD to my bucket list; my bootleg from eBay freezes up

jodie - isn't it amazing how cats can get their heads in tight places & get back out? A star u r? Got that commercial up on U-tube yet? Your tongue will get used to the tooth soon!

tricia - the RV show is in PIT this weekend again i believe. From the commercials seem to be selling "park models" Know from tent camping days it's popular in our area to buy one, park it and never move it again:confused3 ; retirees/2nd homes, etc.

lori - we'll be sweatin one day @ Hoover Dam, it was on the bucket list too;) ; otherwise i hope to be in AC

i've been busy today:rolleyes1 spend time on sunshine rewards, they have a great 3 day DCL cruise rate for our dates in Oct. Booked it, cheapest cat. 12 they have, hope for an upgrade. Actually coming out cheaper (after OBCs) than staying @ RPR & food for 3 days @ U & the 1 day DVC points i'll save & bank. I'm keeping both ressies until i decide if it's really a good idea dh is convinced i'm mad:upsidedow

my strategy is to not buy MYW tix for WDW & do 2 nights @ MNSSHP party & rest of time @ Universal as a :scared: gasp - day guest:rotfl: . Throw in a HHN, hopefully @ cheapo AP rates on Wednesday.

Good afternoon homies thought I would stop by and say hi:yay:

OMG! I can't imagine having that conversation with someone I've known for years, let alone months. And at Ally's BIRTHDAY PARTY? Yeah, nothing says Happy Birthday like discussing the contents of stranger's poo... :cool1:

Yep. That's what we get here. Huge developed "campground resorts" that are, in essence, retirement communities. The Snowbirds fly south for the winter to a lot and trailer somewhere in Florida, then come back to roost here for the summer. They buy a lot in a campground, park a trailer on it and viola'... home. Very little of our camper sales are to people who actually intend to "camp" in them.

Good afternoon homies thought I would stop by and say hi:yay:

Hey back Lawrence! How is the eye?

Hey back Lawrence! How is the eye?

It's doing ok but still flares up every now and then when the dog gets too close or I forget and pet him and touch my face after I pet him but what can you do cause my DW and DS's love him so I have to learn to live with it.

I drove across the Hoover dam on the way home from DL one year. Did not get out and look though. Does that count?

Well dh may be right, but that would make all of us whacko.

I think when we do our first cruise it will be a 3 or 4 day one. Gotta make sure it doesn't bother any of us. Who wants to be sick on vacation!

Good luck with your strategy.

No one else could hear the conversation, the girls were all screaming in the background. She really is a neat person. She would fit in great here with us. I already feel like I have known her forever, probably why she feels free to just say whatever Then again, I think she is just that way.

bucket list - in my single days i'd like to have had a date with Mick Jagger or Don Johnson:goodvibes

that kitty is getting cuter everytime I scroll thru the pics, nice coat - a longhair?

lori - did u take pics of the dam? have read & seen so much about it & it's importance; one of the things both I & DH agree upon visiting. So you did the drive from Anaheim...was it a bear?

mac i didn't know u suffered from sleep apnea, sorry the surgery didn't work out..didn't know that was a treatment option

dh sez i scare the crap outta him because i snore ridiculously loud (sometimes i wake myself up snoring:rolleyes1 ) then stop breathing for a what he sez is a long time:confused3 usually wind up waking choking

was supposed to go for the sleep study, etc.; know i don't want the mask (although i was told they come in different sizes); so i skipped it.

i have big old tonsils, dr suggested taking them out...not for all the ice cream @ Ben & Jerry's...is that the surgery?

I shouldn't have been so mysterious ... the commercial I was in wasn't a speaking part and aired primarily on cable channels. It was really nothing to write home about! (But I got to cross it off my list ...)
