Evening all - catching up for yesterday and today.

Another seizure free day. I hope they can all be seizure free days.

Tricia - you are still in our thoughts and prayers.

I need to take my gateway back to Best Buy again. This will be the third time and I bought their special warranty - they said if it had to be worked on 3 times they automatically replace it with a new computer.

Lori - you should talk to DH. We sent our Best Buy computer in for repair Aug 28th (also under extended warranty). Alot of back and forth, basically they reformatted the hard drive (yes, we lost some stuff), and when they finally give it back in midOctober, we plug it in and it froze up again. DH scored a $1,000 gift card from complaining to corporate to use for a new computer. Geek Squad!

anyone besides me not able to go to florida this year?

We're not sure what we are doing yet. Dear mother-in-law passed away in July and we may take DFIL with us on vacation. He had mentioned taking flying us to Vegas (VEGAS BABY!), and driving to Grand Canyon. So, if he wants to do this, than Florida is out. But, I'm not going to cry too hard, if I get to go to Vegas (even for just a little bit).

Also, this year in May is our 20th wedding anniversary. I would like for DH and I to get away for a couple days or even a long weekend. So right now, no official plans, just trying to make it through winter and April 15.

As for the Community Board. I often use this for a good laugh. I like to "lurk" (less likely to get in trouble), and seldom post. But boy, other people sure have alot of problems!

i'm making plans but you never know if i would have to cancel at the last minute.
i go into the planning every year with that thought and have not had to cancel yet. knock on wood......

do think i have to cancel on seeing my brother in april.
might not be able to swing that for mr mac and me.

lori - i forgot about your ticket snafu, not sure if i could get my dh to agree either. My guys just sorta show up when i tell them to (although they lobbied hard for DL & DH just beamed when I threw in vegas for a couple days ); does your husband care or help with the planning? I think it's sorta nice to get a free reign

I have no help planning. They won't even give me suggestions when I ask them too. It is really iritating sometimes.

mac - u have a great smile there! It's true, trolls lurk & bait on the CB I'm at the stage where i look @ my trip planning as an exercise for my brain; figuring the doody w/hit the fan & all will be for naught. I've even taken to not packing until the last day call it stroking my rabbits foot

We were standing around not far from there one day and the ride kept shutting down. Aparently some idiot guy kept getting up and finally came out of the theatre while it was in motion. He couldn't find his kid. Kid was in the theatre sitting in his seat where he was supposed to be. Every time the cm's would get it re-started this guy would do something else, went on for a good little while.

Still no word on Dad. Impression I got last night was along the lines of "we'll try to get him fixed up and make it not happen again", rather than "hopefully he'll make it through the night". But obviously I wasn't there so it's pretty second hand. I'm guessing my mom will call tonight, but think no news is good news. And no, Mac, I wasn't planning on heading out there. I wouldn't be much use! Of course if it becomes more serious, we could end up canceling, but for now we're planning on skiing.

I would be thinking no news was good news too. Good luck! Let us know when you hear something.

But if I do it at the end then I will not be there when you are. We have done it that way before and it really doesn't bother us, probably because of the way we tour the parks. We really take it easy and normally don't spend more than a couple of hours a day in a park. This year I am going to go to each park once in the morning and the other days we will do the night time emh's. Never done that before so we are excited to see how it works out, especially the guys who do not like getting up in the morning.

You march yourself in there and demand a new computer (just try to take it easy on the poor slob who works there )

They are the ones that told me I would get a new one. I had completely forgot. Manager said it was automatic. We'll see.

I'm trying to get OUT of FL. You can take my place.

But I bet you will still go back to visit. Even I don't want to live there. Don't think Colorado is someplace I would move to though.

we went to FL two years in a row, so this year salt lake( we need to narrow down an area to live in) and maybe next year Florida.

Hmm, the first time it broke I had only had it for 3 or 4 months. They sent it off to Gateway and I got it back about a month and a half later. It all of a sudden told me I needed to do a "restore" and would not come out of it. The second time the jack for the power box broke loose off of the mother board and also smoked the old power box. They had it for two weeks that time but they did not have to do anything that would cause me to loose my stuff (thankfully, cause I had not uploaded my pics from our Christmas/bday trip to WDW or made a cd of it). It has been having a problem with locking up when it is moved ever since I got it back from the first time they worked on it. That is a problem since it is a LAPTOP! Also now the power cord will not stay plugged in. It was a $1000 computer when it was bought. The manager did tell me if I ever had one that I had bought their extended warranty for they would automatically replace it if I had to bring it in 3 times. If I have problems with them then I'll have a talk with you dh.
