Made about 100 cookies tonite ...I'm off to bed. Bad weather today prevented me from doing as much shopping as I wanted to...so, hoping to get out of here early tomorrow to make up for it....

(Did manage to get a Universal Orlando Resort gift card for BIL for Christmas ...beers on us... )

**Next week is the last FULL week before Christmas....CRUNCH TIME! (hear that mac?)

well, tomorrow i get my hair cut and then take the late afternoon train into chicago. have to meet up with mr mac for his office christmas party.

they start at 3 with the party at the office then move it over to the place where it officially is at..............so will be home early saturday morning.

on saturday, i have to do laundry and clean the kitchen. sunday is church. monday off work due to a doctor appointment in the morning and car appt in the afternoon, going back to work on tuesday.....last work day is the 21st.

then i'll get the tree up and do some shopping.
hey, i'll be beating the usual dec 24th shopping day!

woo hoo......i'll be ahead of the game.


and a heads up........if i send out cards, it usually is after christmas.
i just tell everyone that the mail delivery service stinks and it's all their fault for the delay......

next is cookies and a tree.....outside decor is almost finished. I saw MY tree in the lot and it better not sell befor tomorrow night.....Its a blue spruce, about 6.5 feet tall and slim perfect - just what I am looking for

How do you guys think I can ever catch up if you all yak so much. Heck give me a chance, I didn't have any power for 84 hours!

Just kidding. Thanks for being so concerned. You guys are the best.

We got power back sometime around 2 this afternoon then it went back out and came back on about 5:30. We got the heat turned on and spent the rest of the evening at the inlaws. Got home about 9:30.

I will try to get back and read everything I missed but I don't know that I could ever respond to everything. Of course I have done no Christmas shopping and this is my work weekend so I am going to be super busy for the next week and a half. Oh and lets not forget that I have a birthday to get ready for too. I guess Ally will have to wait until after the first of the year to have her birthday party unless we can do something during Christmas break.

We are now preparing for the storm that is supposed to hit tomorrow and Saturday. Let's just hope we don't loose power again.

Well the freezer was starting to worry me so I went ahead and loaded everything up and took it to mil's about an hour or two before the power came on the first time. So I get to go back and get it all tomorrow after I get the fridge cleaned out from what was left in it.

Guess I better hit the hay. Gotta get up early to get started on the five million things I have to get done between now and Christmas. UGH!

jodie - wish we had an exchange with SIL & her brood. She insists we buy presents - for everyone! Unfortunately, she's a QVC/catalog queen & buys the most inappropriate items that always find their way to goodwill. DH sez if he gets one more sweatshirt with a wolf on it he's not sure if he can contain his laughter. Although she skipped my oldest last year since she "just gave him a wedding present" 2 days earlier...grr. I always say i'm going to buy them crappy gifts, yet just cannot bring myself to do it...shall hope i'm courting good karma. Do plan on spending $5 or $10 less PP though to $25 range...way too much money being spent there.

Got drug out to buy a HDTV w/middle son last night, wound up running back & forth to the same 4 stores for 4 hours plus. His 1st tv purchase & needed dear old mom to hold his paw...along with his Xmas money - ha. Who knew there was so much involved-hope we picked out a goodie?

Busy day, no food left - insisting DH go forth with me to provision. Then dentist w/youngest & his BB game. Tomorrow is computer installation & reinstallation of existing one to youngest DSs room. I have such a hard time getting my DSL set up each time/verizon. In case I go MIA we're struggling thru it. Wonder if i'd still be able to logon on laptop if the rest go south?

Yep...cookies before bed....shipping BIL & FIL stuff this weekend (or Monday) and I always send Dad cookies... I believe nobody should celebrate the holidays without homemade cookies.....and since Mom is passed, he won't make them...so, I do and send them to him (he loves 'em ) That is a reason I take care of a lot of holiday stuff early...Mother Nature is always apt to throw a monkey wrench into something ...especially when you have to have the "Santa" thing ready....

Did I say that I was buying ...i don't remember that...but, if THAT'S what it takes for a UO meet......

And....where's the TF when you need her???

Hey....I remember you posting about having your ornament sent...it was right before you left...backordered or something....you said it was being sent directly from wherever you bought it from....you apologized for it....yep! I remember you mentioning it before you left! (And mentioning yours in your pile of box(es) in your mail upon returning home....) (see? i read EVERYONE'S crap )

You must feel crappy cuz you can't "get back into the swing" since vacay...happens to me every time! Go get your hair trimmed...split ends weigh it down...might make ya feel better...
Oh, and as far as cookies.... I actually use a baking STONE...i can get 16 cookies on them...so, baking goes a bit faster than regular cookie sheets..... (and NO burning either!)

Not sure if I'd feel comfortable exchanging gifts with a QVC/catalog queen I would just have to say something...I couldn't take it!!!!

What kind of TV did son get?? Spill the details....

Now....going to try to get outta here...so, might not be back till later....we'll see.....
