thanx homie for stepping up to the plate.
if you need my ideas or help, let me know.
i know you'll do a fine job with organizing it.

since we have school up thru the 21st, i won't be available for the ichat until after skool. i'm not sure when the others get off work each day but i am released at 2:38 daily. but then i start at 7:20 am with only a 20 minute break for lunch on some days.

are we doing a room with a view?
well, will it be the disboard chat rooms?

i have aol for chats.
don't know if others have it but we all have access to the dis chats.

oh, the bribing.............i have no reply to that statement. i'm speechless

I don't have crappy aol...so, I think we should stick to the chat room on the DIS....that way we know everyone has access to it :thumbsup2

IF YOU WERE INVOLVED IN THE ORNABUDDY EXCHANGE, PLEASE POST (or PM me) WHEN YOU ARE AVAILABLE NEXT THURSDAY DEC. 20TH TO OPENLY DISCUSS IT IN THE DIS CHAT ROOM

Most likely in the early evening hours (after everyone gets home from work and has dinner.....)

Even if you weren't involved...feel free to join us! All are welcome! :grouphug:

I'll certainly try to be at the chat! I should be able to get on in the evening 8-9ish. So excited to post! Have to take a pic of it though! ;)

My ornabuddy should receive their's very soon I hope!

Oh and today is the DF and my 5 year anniversary!! He got me roses and a diamond necklace and left them in my car because he gets off work at midnight. I won't see him til Sat., so I gotta get him a gift by then :rolleyes1

Barb, get your FIL scratch off lottery tickets! We get my grandma some every year. Poor grandma had to get evaluated the other week because she's losing it. They asked her what holiday we just celebrated. Instead of Thanksgiving, she said Memorial Day.

Or, you could always do a charitable donation if he has a favorite charity? We also get grandma gift certificates to Shop Rite or Walmart. She seems to like those as well.

Yes, my new sig. Well, I don't think Mitt's chances are that great so I have a feeling I'll have to change my allegiance after primaries are over. I tend to vote with my wallet (as in which politician is going to keep his hands out of it), and I like Mitt's tax credits and incentives the best. For now, anyway. :goodvibes

is mitt that mormon?
i saw something about his campaign sunday night on tv.

i ususally vote for a party if i don't know who to vote for

where is jaws cpa?
aka jennifer .............

i gotta check the weather map.
got to find all my homies weather so i don't have to worry.

maybe he will do this every year for you!

I can chat in the evening. Either after dinner, but prior to boys bedtime... say 7ish to 8:45ish... or after boys bedtime... say 9:15ish until I conk out.

ever since i started telling folks we were moving to utah, i get the oh, are you mormon or are you voting for Romney?

Thanks for the instant lotto idea....not a 'serious' gift, but might be 'fun'....altho, he'd have to scratch them in our presence cuz he prolly wouldn't understand what he's doing..... (he's old skool!)

Hey everyone -

Jim stayed in NY :sad1: - it was WAY too nasty for him to drive home. Kfish, heard you guys got snow, rain and ice :scared: So he will leave in the am and go straight to the office then home at regular time tomorrow night.

check christmas cards off the list - got them done today :thumbsup2

next is cookies and a tree.....outside decor is almost finished. I saw :thumbsup2 MY tree in the lot and it better not sell befor tomorrow night.....Its a blue spruce, about 6.5 feet tall and slim :yay: perfect - just what I am looking for :yay:

Politics bore me.....really they do.....too many people promising too much that all of a sudden changes once they are in office. :confused3 I will pay attention closer to voting time.

The gift exchanges sound like a hoot and a half :lmao: Can't wait to see who gets Jodies family gift and what they think :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: Got to share a video of THAT - :happytv:

Tell the Jim to drive carefully...some of the NYers are crazy drivers...:rolleyes1

Mac and Barb: Yea, he's a good boy, I've trained him well ;) And it better keep coming!!!

I know many of you don't venture out on the CB, so I thought I would share the yearly MIL gifts from heck thread by jeafl... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1660648

What is one of the worst gifts you've ever received? The first one that jumps to mind wasn't actually mine, it was Brad's. A gift from my oldest sister. What is the perfect gift for any 40 something hetero rural male? A sterling silver candle snuffer. :confused3 :lmao:

Yea - and you have never been in a car with him..... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: .... he is the guy in the left lane wondering why everyone is standing still at 80mph :lmao: :lmao: But thanks, he is aggressive, but safe :thumbsup2

Mac and Barb: Yea, he's a good boy, I've trained him well ;) And it better keep coming!!!

Great gifts - color me green with envy. You definately have one of the good ones!!! Did you ever decide on the wedding/reception site? This old lady can't remember anything! I just made my list (literally) of things/chores to do tomorrow.

Mike is driving home in this mess now. Tracie, Jim was smart not to drive!

I have to say my worst gift was the Human Fund gift, off the top of my head. I'm sure I'll think of another.

Yes, Mitt the Mormon is my man! :goodvibes

where is lori?

i read her pm and she said she was posting here to let everyone know she is safe and at home now.

lori if you are reading this, post and say hi to the homies.

you do not need to bring a note from home.
you were excused for your absentism.......

How do you guys think I can ever catch up if you all yak so much. Heck give me a chance, I didn't have any power for 84 hours!

Just kidding. Thanks for being so concerned. You guys are the best.

We got power back sometime around 2 this afternoon then it went back out and came back on about 5:30. We got the heat turned on and spent the rest of the evening at the inlaws. Got home about 9:30.

I will try to get back and read everything I missed but I don't know that I could ever respond to everything. Of course I have done no Christmas shopping and this is my work weekend so I am going to be super busy for the next week and a half. Oh and lets not forget that I have a birthday to get ready for too. I guess Ally will have to wait until after the first of the year to have her birthday party unless we can do something during Christmas break.

We are now preparing for the storm that is supposed to hit tomorrow and Saturday. Let's just hope we don't loose power again.

Thanks again everyone. I love you all!
