i had to struggle to avoid posting:rotfl:

some threads are akin to Kryptonite::yes::

I didn't struggle for long.

I have never understood anyone thinking that a group of people should change their behavior to suit one person. It's just like the "long threads annoy me" posts from the past couple of days. Because they annoy a few, we should all change our posting habits? Pfffft. Yeah.

I don't even post on those threads anymore. I mean...what's the point...you know?

that is great, but did you get the email confirmation.
please make sure you get it. it is very important to have that document with you when you check in. if there are issues that come up at check in time, your email confirmation of the ressie will save you.

Thats what I asked but they told me as long as I had AAA email comfirmation it would be ok and I do have that and its already printed out and shows the rate also.

I don't post on the "long thread" ones anymore, but this one? Yeah. Pulling out a study from 1950 and quoting sources to try and convince the CB as a whole to stop the "vent" type posts? Oh, I couldn't pass that one up. As if a study on human nature done in 1950 has any bearing whatsoever on a message board in 2008. The concept of "cyber venting" wasn't even around then. Puh-leez.

That's true. I wonder how long it will take for the mods to lock it?

So far, everyone is playing nice for the most part. Just bantering around opposing views. At least, that's how it seems to me. The OP may not see it that way, since most of the views are not in favor of his/hers. I guess it could turn ugly and get locked. That happens so often on the CB, I don't even notice.

I read the thread, and agree that it came off as really pompous. I do have to say that Bicker's been around here longer than I have (and that's a LONG time) and on TGM for quite awhile. Overall, he seems to be a pretty nice guy and (obviously, based on his screenname) just likes to stir things up. He never attacks people personally, just likes to counter argue. He seems to be good at providing statistics on every subject and really is sort of fun to have around.

I thought your thread was going to reference another one I read this morning. There's another poster that really annoys me. (Won't name them here). I had them on ignore for a long time (mostly because of their views on kids), but seeing the ignore stuff bothered me even more so I took them off. They were involved in the whole cheerleader thread over there if you didn't read it, and I think were just horribly rude. Then after apparently getting some PM's, started another thread about how everyone was mean to them. That one got locked quickly. They do spend maybe half their time offering useful comments on normal threads, but any time something regarding kids comes up, that inner demon comes out!!

It seems locking threads happens just about everywhere...except here.

lori - how scary that must have been for you, good thing you got to ER in time. thanks for the info:thumbsup2 , :wizard: on getting WL!

penny - the swiss chicken casserole sounds good (don't think i've ever heard of it?)

i drug carcass of couch & made ribs & chicken breasts (enough for 2 days:woohoo: ); had to since i had the meat defrosted lol. Promised DH a cake, went into cupboard & no cake mix; wound up making a butter cake from scratch. They tell me they like Betty Crocker's version better:rolleyes1 ; still managed to polish off 1/2 of it...poor babies

think i'll go find a hot bath (days like today makes me want to ditch the pool & go for a hot tub:idea: )

That casserole does sound great. Would like to know more about it too.

You take care of that sickness before it gets worse. Enjoy the bath.

Don't your guys not know how to cook?

I was cruising around the CB. Dangerous, I know. I couldn't help myself. There was the thread started by such a pompous sounding OP, I just had to add my 2 cents.

I'm post #101 ;) :lmao:

I have seen that guy around alot. He seems like a real pompous @ss a lot of the time. Why would anyone even start a post like that?

That's cause we are so sweet!

well, i read some reports from early 1950 and it said if you use a condom, you won't get VD or a baby .........totally impossible for that to happen.

pm me the name of that person.
i'm very curious now.

about 2 years ago some of the universal threads got locked.
when a disney only lover comes to post on a UO thread and argue about the differences, it gets locked when tempers flare or when some of the posters recieve pm's and say bad things to them.

there were many a time when one homie was being backed into the corner, we all jumped in.

another reason i am grateful this thread is here on the UO forums and not the CB

Well..I'm off to bed. Have a good night!

no one needs a passport to get to Eastern nowhere, USA, well not yet anyway. after thursday you will.

the test showed something glowing with the heel /ankle. of course the hospital could not say anything. I wont know until thursday if it is the plauge, , kryptonite overdose, stress fracture, ligament damage, pms syndrome, broken, to be amputated, ringworm, scurvy, or even any or all of the above.
hobbling around is not fun. twice in 9 months is doubly not fun.

Oh yeah, I have seen lots of his crap.

Anyways, Matthew had his Pinewood Derby race yest with his Cub Scout Pack(He is a Webelos ll). He came in 2nd place in his Den!! :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :cool1: :car:
I don't remember his exact time, but our cubmaster is going to email all that from each Den in a few days.
Matthew is going back to race in Districts in April!

Today, we are actually going to Medieval Times.

Congrats to Matthew Rose :cheer2: That is great to hear!!! I hope he does well at Districts.... (use more cooking spray then ;) ) Look forward to pix!

How was your dinner at MT?? I've eaten there once...a loooong time ago.... (prolly 22 years ago!)...we had a real great time. I was in high school and went with my GF and her folks to Fla. to visit her Grandma and WDW and we ended up there one night...it was way kewl....and our knight was hot :thumbsup2

Oh you should see me when we are leaving for a trip. I am fine until we get in the car & out the drive way then I start to think I left everything. I remember one trip being in the car on the way to the airport and checking for our park tickets 4 different times. Like they were going to go somewhere while we were in the car?:confused3 Geez!

:lmao: count me in too! I do the same thing.... Car is packed, we are sitting IN it. I check the most important things: drivers license and credit cards. Everything else doesn't matter...but I won't be able to get ON the plane without photo ID.... I keep important emails in folders in our account, so if I lost a printout confirmation, I could go online and get it..... If I forgot our AP's for Universal, I'd just go to GS..... but, I check 50 times to see if I have photo ID, credit card and cash!

Barb, I love the "Golden Homie Award"!!! That is awesome! You know...the first time I saw the "Brab" thing on here, I was thinking....was that Barb or Brad....so I've gotta stick with Barb.

Hey Alison.... I hope you are all healed now! Thanks for stickin' with "barb" and not "brab".....it's harder to type and I feel 'connected' to Tricia :rolleyes1

Well, the french toast ingredients were there, but just because we needed them. No french toast making planned. I had planned on going shopping earlier. Didn't happen. Mentioned to Brad after he got home that we'd need to go sometime. After dinner and kitchen cleanup and relaxing in front of the tv he says, "Let's get it out of the way." Ummmm... now? At 8pm? Okay, I guess.

Let's just say that the oddest guy I saw was wearing a tshirt (wind chill was in the 20s last night) and buying Red Bull and cough syrup. :scared:

Everyone wound up in their own beds. Then Daniel crawled into bed with us about 5:15am. Then Joshua crawled into bed with us about 6:30am. I left them all in our bed and went to sleep for another hour on the sofa.

I'm surprised you actually agreed to go OUT at 8pm....with the lil ones no less! He shoulda mentioned it earlier....like as you were finishing cleaning up after dinner...not after you sat and relaxed!

Ya know...I think our wind chill was in the 20's today and I saw some dude in shorts (PALE white legs :lmao: ) and a jacket and coughing his head off (why I noticed him).... What an idiot...deserved to be coughing!!!

So, here is MY grocery store rant.... this one particular older lady and her husband had the worlds BEST timing!! They constantly would stop dead in the middle of an aisle...in front of me! wth? :confused3 After 2 aisles, I managed to lose them! Then, at the meat counter, this older lady was hogging up all the room in front of every kind of meat I was looking to buy...first it was beef, then the pork....however, I was quicker than her and beat her to the chicken....BUT, she rammed into me with her cart! Well, okay not 'rammed', but she definately hit the back of my ankle  I turned around and shot her a dirty look!!! I happened to be finishing up with the chicken and went on my way....milk was next stop. I knew she was right behind me, so I hogged up all the space in front of all the milk!! :rotfl2: She muttered to her older husband (see a pattern here with the 'ages'?) about rude people.... I just muttered back a little louder "Yeah....how they run into you with their carts and don't even apologize"... That shut her up real quick... I don't normally have problems at my store, but for some reason, all the OLD, IGNORANT, RUDE bluehairs were out today! :confused3 ...thus ends my grocery store rant.....

Why do I always get stuck with the vacuum? :headache:

I'm sorry....thought it was the 'easy' job...you can switch if you find someone that will switch with you ;)

Glad to know that for future reference for us few guys here ;)

You guys are awful quiet...Larry is the only chatterbox that is male here....he stops in daily to say "hi" and "nite"..... Todd stops in daily too...but he needs to yak it up more! Fred was here....dunno where HE went? DM...he breezes in and out.... Mike...you HAVE to be here more often.... It's not that we forget about you guys, but when you don't make your presence known, we think you aren't paying attention here....

Front page news in the Reading Eagle today, looked like a bad one!

Looks that way....I used to live above the tax office on S. Charlotte--just before the railroad tracks.... My salon was a door or two down from the Farmers Market...so, I would have been real close....I'm hoping to get over there this week and take some pix..... It was a "sub" headline in the Reading Eagle (bottom of the front page)...guessing it was THE headline in the Mercury.

Well I went to the school Friday & talked to Ally's teacher. She said she could read in the 800 - 1100 range and showed me a few books in her classroom in that range that were acceptable to me.

I am very glad to hear you got this straightened out and are satisfied with the outcome. I think we need to 'watch' our kids teachers so they don't get out of line or pull 'power trips' on us.... Only Ry's first grade teacher we had issues with....not bad in all the 5 he's had! Hope you are able to rest easy over the situation now....

ok, as long as i don't see the word pregnant as a possibilty, you're good to go.

i could in no freakin' way possible be pregnant.
between the still bruised knees and the air cast, doing it is the last thing on my mind.
the very last.
the last......

Oh yeah, do that too! I swear I will never know how I can forget in minutes where I put my drivers license. :rolleyes1

Yes we defintely have to watch them. Ally's first grade teacher was also Michaels first grade teacher. I was pregnant with Ally when Mikey had her. She was wonderful.
