1) Happy Happy Bubba.
2)The Big Sale is finished. Profit was made. Stuff was Gotten Rid Of (which has more important).
3)It was cold and breezy, but Perseverance paid off.

While everyone is busy with football (Barnyard is on my tv), let me post all by my lonesome.

First, Janet stop fiddling with your naner. That just sounds... wrong.

Next, one of the many, many stops we made (I can still hear the whines echoing in my head) was at the Target Portrait Studio. Here's the pics of my little men.

I expect the offers from GQ (or at least the JC Penney catalog) to come rolling in any minute... :rolleyes1

BTW IT IS FREEZING HERE How much longer till spring ????
We are so :bored: Bored here with no amusement parks open and nothing going on .

RVGirl the boys look so cute . Were they in a wedding recently ? The little Tuxs are great .

Yes, they were co-ring bearers in their cousin's wedding. You may hear me refer to the groom as the Idiot Nephew, but it is said with love. ;)

This one is my favorite! Both boys just look so spiffy but so casual at the same time!

Just bundled DS15 and DH up in about 10 layers each and sent them off to the game. Right now it's negative 1, wind chill negative 18! :scared1:

They're both wearing hand warmers, toe warmers, toe warmers on their heels, back warmers and another one stuck on their chest for good measure! :rotfl: DS (who I dressed) is in a turtleneck, polarteck mock turtleneck, polartec sweater, down vest, polartec lined windbreaker, winter parka from Lands End, and a Brett Favre Jersey. He's also wearing polartec tights, polartec lined jeans and ski pants. Two pairs of ski socks, and mittens with liners. A face mask (balaclava) - but this one has a special air exchanger (like a filter) at your mouth to reduce the moisture left in it. Plus a hat over it and boot covers (neoprene rubber like a wet suit) over snow boots.

About 5 extra layers than we wore skiing, but 1. when you're skiing you are moving a lot and 2. when we were skiing, we weren't staying out for more than an hour at a time - not 6 or 7 like they expect to be! They have a bunch of extra hand and foot warmers, plus one of those "muff" mitts you carry to stick your hands in to keep them warm. Oh, and they both have ski goggles as well. I think they'll be okay!

Oh, and good news! Just got our first warning of another "snow advisory" - 6 more inches tomorrow into tomorrow night. Come on - we're not even in positive numbers - how can we be having snow?!!

Well, a few more pics for you guys from the trip!

Tricia - just for you, a picture of our bathroom door, which also had about 1/8 inch clearance between the toilet and the door:

DS and his girlfriend. She couldn't bring a bathing suit because she didn't have any that fit "right" so she hung out at the pool in a t-shirt and shorts:

Another of the "guys jumping into the pool" shots, but this time with DH instead of DS15:

Oh, and I wanted to show you guys the Disney Countdown calendar we made for my kids' cousins (almost 6 and 3). They're going next month, so DS14 and I made this for them - not as elaborate as ours, but we didn't have enough time to do more. We also got them a Disney advent calendar at the Disney Store that you open the little drawers and hang up a different colored Mickey head each day (they'll just count DOWN to their trip instead of UP the 25 days to Christmas!).

Also sent them each a starter set of pins/lanyard, a handheld Disney trivia game, some glow lights and some sticker books and coloring stuff for the plane. Oh, and of course my recommendations of the best parks to go to each day and some general tips for overall! Hope it gets them excited!!

Great pics, Marcy! I really wish I had learned to ski. But, growing up in Nevada, we didn't exactly get a lot of snow. There are ski resorts not too far away, but my family just never went skiiing.

Happy Birthday to Bubba!

RVgal, what an adorable pic of your boys. I especially love the toothless older one! i taught kindergarten for a few years and I always loved it when they started loosing their front teeth! :rotfl:

Posting signs in salon will not help....it's a very small salon I work at

I'm with you....I actually 'forget' to eat on vacation at UO..... guess I'm so absorbed in my surroundings and what I'm doin' next, I forget..... oh well...the boys remind me......

I hope you fix yer poor nana soon......he don't look good! (Here's a tip...put the 'bug' at the very end of your sig....that way he crawls 'off screen' and back on without takin up too much room!)

We used to have the same problem when I worked in the service department at Honda. Parents would being their "kids" in and while they were were with the service advisor writing up what was being done, their kids would be wandering back into the bays where even "I" (as a non-mechanic) would need to be careful. Someone would drag the kids back to the parents would always laugh it off with this "Isn't he CUTE?" type expression! :confused3 I'd feel like - keep them strapped into their car seat if you can't control them!

I've often felt that way on vacation - we'd have so much more time if we didn't have to waste time EATING! Unless of course I'm on a cruise and then it's the POINT of the vacation! Just remember being in Washington DC with the kids and having such a hard time finding food in the mall/museums area and having very cranky little boys!

I also see the naner as mostly cut off. It's there, but not with enough space to show all/most of it. Usually I can remove my favorites and see everything (Barb, I have to do that with yours to see the pics on the bottom), but no matter what I do the naner gets cutoff. Oh, and thanks for the tip (Jodie?) about the discreet mode - didn't know that existed! May try that at work!

did you hear about manning being superstitious and all that seinfeld sent him all the dvd episodes and dvd player to him?

greenbay was blockiing out the steinfeld reruns this weekend and manning heard from jerry then...

Yeah, and a bunch of NY people then played it up as Green Bay being mean to their players, we should show more hospitality, etc., etc. It was a JOKE people! Yeah, I'm sure Manning has nothing better to do than sit and watch Seinfeld reruns! :rotfl:

Marci - love the pics. ?? How did you eat the baklavas on the slopes?????

Since the Steelers are out of the hunt, I actually like the Patriots. Am I in the minority? (Marci - I also am rooting for GB)

Okay, THERE IS NO BAKLAVA! AAUUGGHHH!!

I'm not rooting for the Patriots because they just seem too cocky and stuck up to me. Every game of theirs I've watched they just seem so "we're better than the rest of you!" :snooty: Definitely going with the underdog in this case, but I guess I'm jinxing them by watching so far! :guilty:

Wow - so you have a husband who builds cabinets and furniture and a son who builds computers?! You have it made! It looks really awesome!

what if they have to go pee?

remember when our littles were little and you got them ready to go play outside in the snow...............and there was always one of them that cried, i have to go pee...........

they only left an hour before game time?
wow, you could never do that for the bears.
people start the tailgating early morning, sometimes the night before.

Um, depends?! :rotfl: At least they're guys and won't be waiting an hour in the potty lines!

They left around 3:30 - that's 2 hours before game time! And people definitely do start tailgating hours or even a day early, but you certainly don't have to! I heard from them that they made it to their seats, etc., but it's evidently hard to talk through all their layers!

They were just talking on TV at the game about how the footballs lose their elasticity in the cold and are very hard to grip as a result. See, you guys thought I was making it up!

Tricia - loved the pics. The boys surely must have been the hit of the wedding.:)

Marci - We have taken a cold spell here and our wind chill was in the negatives early this morning. I have been so cold all day, and am sitting here with a blanket on my legs and one around my shoulders. Your menfolk must be crazy. Even mine wouldn't have went to the game in this weather. Sounds like you dressed them warm enough. I noticed you did make sure they had a balaclava on. See I really do know what it is.

Sharon - that is a very nice cabinet. Is this hubby's hobby or his "day" job.

Marci - My Hubby tells me New England won. (told ya, I don't follow once Steelers are out) So now I will root for your Packers to kick some Pat butt (after NY butt tonight). I have always loved Brett Favre. Although I thought his name was pronounced "fav-or".:lmao:
:)

beautiful furniture sharon.
i love it.

marcie, that incident really did happen to manning.
it was on again on the mwk radio station yesterday.
gb blocked out yesterdays usual rerun of seinfeld.
and jerry did sent the dvd set to mannning

it really gave a lot of press to jerry.
think he needed it.

game time, bbl
