mj what's up with the teacher? my ds finally got a 'nice' tennis shirt since one the starters quit lol

worfie - intrigued, what's with the donald (my man!) reference in ur siggie?popcorn::

Called the school nurse at 7 this morning and explained the situation. I also told her that I didn't think that this teacher, who has the students walk down a hall and "hide" during fire drills instead of vacating the building and "Don't tell your parents about this", is concerned about my child's safety.

She sounded concerned and was emailing the teacher immediately for my DD to be off of her foot.

Doesn't look like tennis weather here right now. Courts are too wet. The only thing good about my daughter's tennis team is that they all have the nice shirts and brand new at that. We just have to supply the skorts--1 for JV 2 for varsity.

JV is a joke--play 2 schools for a total of 5 games and only 3 practices during that time. Of course, DD can't practice anyways, but she goes to them to support her team.

I watched the practice yesterday and those girls really are pathetic. I have never seen a JV team for any sport where the team really doesn't have continuous practice and games like the varsity. The practice just looks like the girls just showed up and said, "Hey, lets hit this little yellow ball with these cool looking sticks!":confused3 Now wonder she is #1 for jv--no competition.

If only she hadn't twisted her ankle, she would've made the varsity...she was winning for the coveted spot up until the twist. It's been 3 wks, and still swollen every time she gets on it for too long.

Next year, I'm putting my parental foot down and she will have to pick one sport and stick with it.
