Hey Todd, you`re an early bird on a sat morning :)

Well by those temps I`m glad they are taking a mix of clothes, sound a bit chilly at times. They`re like me, don`t like the cold much! Still I`d rather be cool in Florida than anywhere else :thumbsup2

Thanks for that Todd, will keep that link, it`s very good :thumbsup2

Good Saturday morning Homies

I hope you all have a GREAT day!!:dance3::cheer2:

Busy around here like usual.

The wind outside is CRAZY!! :scared1:

The renewal is $117.14...not bad for a year! :teeth:

Going to sound a bit dumb here but, is that price for Florida residents only or can anyone get an annual pass?
Just a little confused about tickets on offer as we seem to have slightly different tickets on sale at times over here.

That's the renewal rate for past Preferred passholders. The regular price of the Preferred AP is $229.99 + tax and anyone can get that...not just FL residents. I'm not sure what the renewal rate would be on a new Preferred AP...$117.14 sounds too cheap for a new passholder.

Thanks Todd, we got a good ticket this year for Universal. A 2 park 14 day unlimited for £70, not sure with the exchange rate what that will be in dollars but for us, a good price.
Big jump in the Disney tickets we get. Last year our 14 day ultimate was £163 each, this year it was £215 each, with some places selling it for £249 :scared1:
So we`ll certainly be spending most of our trip this time in the parks, no Clearwater this year I think :sad1:

Yeah...you know the one thing that no one talks about in this bad ecomony is...none of the parks are really coming down on their ticket prices. Disney is doing some specials for FL residents but for regular tourists...no real specials. I know Disney is practically giving away rooms down there but no cheap ticket deals yet.

Disney are giving rooms away??? Goodness me I wish the brochures we have reflected that. It`s so expensive. In fact Tom has just EMPHATICALLY told me there`s no way we can go next year :sad1::sad1::sad1:
That`s more or less why we splashed out a little more staying at the RPR this year, but I did think I`d be able to convince him that next year is a possibility. But I think I need to work a little harder on him puckerup:puckerup:puckerup:
That may work :rolleyes1

I know the rooms are greatly reduced from what they were a year ago and the 4/3 deal along with free dining are pulling lots of people in. I keep hearing how many vacancies the resorts have had this year with the economy and you know Disney never discounts anything. That just goes to show you how hard it's hitting this area. You might want to check into the rates and see what you can do. Universal has followed suit with their specials as well.

Oh I certainly will keep checking Todd. As well as Disney and Universal I`ve come across some places that look good in LBV and surrounding areas with other sites. So booking independently instead of a package, which may be slightly cheaper.
But at the moment after this year it`ll be 2011 before I get back by the looks of things.
I shouldn`t grumble really as I suppose a lot of people never get to go to Florida, but I`ve been spoilt last few years.
Just have to make the most of this year I suppose. :thumbsup2

We were able to take advantage of the 4/3 Disney deal for our stay in May - I was happy as the cost was very close to the AP rate, plus we get a one day admission to put towards our APs ... now I'm crossing my fingers for a really good AP rate for our October trip ...

Unfortunately even with our AP's for Universal, staying on-site there is still a bit too pricey especially when we can stay at a Disney resort for about 1/2 the price.

Worked the church rummage sale today. We missed marking 2 dolls that we let go for $1 each--they were Leigh Middletons. The one went to a collector and the other, went to a little girl that probably a $1 was too much.

So much stuff. We were selling stuff mainly for 25 cents. Toys for 10 cents. When you have probably 7-800 people in the church--there's a lot of stuff. Just wanted it gone. People ended up with deals...:thumbsup2

Too bad I did not go to your sale. I love a good bargain. One man's junk is another man's treasure, ya know.

Visited with a friend of mine and took the dogs for a good long walk. About 5 miles total. Her dogs were draggin, but my 2 year old pup was still ready for more. They all ran around and played for another hour, but only because mine is relentless. He has so much energy.

I'm pooped too.

Hey everyone...

Just stopping in to say "hi"...actually going to take our dog for a walk, er, I mean, pull... What kind of dog you have Niki? We just adoped Max beginning of Feb (he's appx 7mths) and he's a riot! A lot of work, but a riot! Actually going to take him out to tire him out...getting close to bedtime ya know ;)

Thank goodness he's about 50lbs...or else the wind would take me away!

Laters gators! :wave2:
