Hello all

Well just got in from a nice breakfast with my friend. She really isn't into starbuck and someone gave her a gift card so we went to spend it today. It was yummy :)

Went to the mall and well got nothing there either . I have to run into pathmark later for some food but other then that no big plans today .

Mac . Yeah my taxes are not so bad here because we are part of NYC . That comes with good and bad . I have a nice house and we live in a great neighborhood but the NYC schools are something to be desiered sometimes.

Off to get some light cleaning done here

BBL

i thought it would be a lot more for taxes where you lived.
my house is small, 1680 sq ft and our taxes are $9800 a year.
(which we don't get much for what we pay)

i always figured the east coast and california had the highest taxes.

hope you get a great night's sleep.

those 6 years will fly by sooner than you think.
it's hard to believe that now, but it happens.

gee, i can't remember a lot of stuff when mine were small and pre school age. i think it was because there was strength in numbers. they outnumbered me.......

St L, now you're running with the big doggies.
congrats on the new post number.

and donald and metro, be sure to send me a postcard when you get to south america.........i love post cards!

Thanks Mac
Usually Dw thinks I am a dog :lmao:
No she is really happy with me now that we found out how much of a tax rebate we get back this year and we will be able to stay at RPR on vacation :cool1:

Hey youse......

Promised pics of Edinburgh.

Now they are not great for 2 reasons.

1. My rubbish camera.
2. Edinburgh's bleak weather.

This is The Scotts Monument on Princes Street (Edinburghs main shopping street). It was built in memory of Sir Walter Scott.
The right hand side or Princes street has shops and the left has the monument,Edinburgh Arts Gallery,The street gardens and the Castle.

Heres a wee Piper at the entrance to the Gardens....

You just purchased a home, right? DOn't forget to write off your settlement and pre paid taxes :scratchin Keep digging - you may find more deductions :thumbsup2

I asked yesterday and guess you didn't see it - what did you decide to do about your flights? Did you go with the cheaper airline? Inquiring minds like to know :rotfl2:

DM - waiting for the TR!! :goodvibes

Hey all - happy Thursday!! I want to know who has the voodoo doll and gave me pink eye?!? (well not diagnosed yet - see the doc at 3:30). Woke up and knew it......felt like a kid again and NOT in a good way.

Hope everyone can stay warm! Do what it takes ;)

We will miss each other by 1 DAY! We are going to Atlanta from 5-20 to 5-23 (nephew's graduation), then to Orlando from 5-23 to 5-31........... (5-23 to 30 is a timeshare exchange)

As of today, no rooms at the HRH on the weekend of 5-30/5-31, only RPR, I think I'm going to book it and keep checking!

No AP or AAA rates for either resort as of today??

It is above zero here in Maine- so it aint that cold out.

Balmy, downright balmy tonight~

I'll take your balmy and raise you 50. Wouldn't we all.... It's supposed to be warmer in MS, too, but we're always sitting somewhere in the 18-35 range.

I will leave it at that for now (in case im boring youse !! ) but I will post my Castle and Royal Mile once later if youse want.

If any one does please feel free.

Love the pictures! You can tell photobucket to resize it for you.

Or open it in MS Paint.
Scroll down to Resize/Skew.
You should see two boxes with the number 100. Change both of them to a smaller number. If you want the picture to be 50% of it's original size, you put 50 in both boxes. If you want it smaller than that, put a smaller number in both boxes. It's better to start out too big and go down gradually, because you lose picture quality if you try to make it bigger again.

Go to File and click Save As.
Give it a slightly different title so you have your original size saved along with your new smaller picture. I just put SM at the end for small.

Hope that helps! I know, it's clear as mud.

Woo-Hoo for tax breaks! Sadly for us, they've lowered the amount of credit you get for donations to non-profit groups like churches or the Red Cross or any other 501(c)(3), so we owe this year. No refund. :sad2:

I can't believe the property taxes some of you have to pay! Reminds me of a song from Big River.

The dad-gum guvament
They got me in a bind....

On a happier note, we don't owe as much as we did last year. Only because DH had them withold more from eash check....

I will never complain about my taxes again after seeing both of yours.

Yeah, I'm shaking my head here thinking the same thing! :sad2: Ours are about $3000 a year. We opted not to live in Green Bay itself (we're in one of the smaller villages/suburbs) since the taxes there would have been closer to $4000!

Scotlass - like everyone else I loved the pics! :thumbsup2

Tracie - my son's HS is doing Grease right now! (Well, rehearsing at least!). But I'm pretty sure he's not a pink lady, so don't blame him! ;)

Hi to everyone else! :wave2: Once again I'm reading, but not always doing a great job of posting!
