Morning all...I'm going to South America until this %&*#(@ cold weather decides to get itself out of here.

Are we in that movie Day After Tomorrow, the one with Dennis Quaid where we enter a new ice age and the new capital of the United States is down in Mexico.

Sorry Bonny. I think your country was history in that movie.:sad2:

Like it's not cold enough with heat....my van needs a new radiator!!! Too cold to have no heat in the van now!!! Thank goodness my inlaws have an auto repair/tire shop that I took it to, now I have my FIL's 4x4 Truck ;)

My trip to Cancun can't come soon enough with this cold weather!!! My boys seem to want to build snowmen and go on the toboggan.....:confused3 , no thanks I think we will stay inside and huddle...:grouphug:

Have a GREAT hump to day to all....

Phantom my thoughts are with you at this time :flower3:

I think this all goes back to teaching to the test--whatever happened to common sense and being in history not just reading about it???
it was mandatory viewing in our school districts, from K up to grade 12

I wish the vehicle repair was free BUT I do get extra special service!! When grandkids ride in the vehicle they work on it a bit sooner then if it was just me!!?!?!:confused3

Afternoon all ...

Todd, I'm with you ... I can't believe how cold it is down there ... we're 4C (39F) right now and in Orlando it's only 9C (48F) ... difference is, for us, this is warm.

tam...you enjoy the vacation? did i miss a link to a trip report? :upsidedow

Sorry, no TR yet. We had a great time even though we got food poisoning at Tchoup Chop our first night there. Slowed us down but didn't ruin it. I need to get it done soon, or I'll never have access to a computer that lets me do everything quickly. DH starts online classes again in three weeks. :crazy2: There goes our sanity!

Old man winter has hit in a big way down here.Looked at my thermoterer on the porch and its reading 40 and the sun has another hour to set!!They are saying 18F tonight in my area!!

I'm saving all my fun info on Vegas for the upcoming TR! :snooty:

But to those who asked:
-No, I did not do anything that needed to "stay in Vegas." Or did I? :rolleyes1
I didn't.

-I stayed at the Sahara and the Polo Towers. I won at the Sahara, but I had to spend my winnings on things such as food, show tickets (I saw Love--Cirque set to Beatles music, everybody loved it, pun intended), tours (Hoover Dam) and ride tickets. I ended up only losing $30 for the whole trip. :cool2:

-Yes, it was spectacular. I'd go back again. At it is colder in Orlando than it is in Vegas. Figure that one out. :confused3

Well I'm talking too much>>:)

We are going too put a log on the fire and cuttle with the wifey!!

I know A fireplace in Florida is like a dog chasing a cropped tail.

But its cold even for the northeners down here!!

Todd let me know when your leaving.I'll book A flight with Ya!!

Goodnight all,stay warm...:thumbsup2

Evening all

well DD is feeling better. I am very tired . Like ready for bed at 7:30 tired .

tracie ... i know about the schools. Our neighborhood is good and we love it here but there is no zoned schools in NYC anymore . It is their choice and well frankly I am not loving their system . It is a lot of money to spend on school but we figuered it this way if we moved to NJ where we were going to go then our taxes were going to start at about 10,000 a year . :faint: . They only go up from there and then they stay with you forever at least HS we will pay for 6 years between the two of them and be done with it . I really would LOVE to move to south carolina but it is too far from our families .

I hope you had a good time in LV there DM . I want to see your photos and I am looking forward to your TR. I am really set on going there in Oct. for DH 's 40th birthday .

It is freezing cold here too and well the fireplace is on the heat is on and I am still freezing . Time to get the wooly jammies out . At least there was no snow today .

I am calling it a night for now If i don't make it back I am watching Lost :happytv: or Sleeping :cloud9: ....:wave2:

I saw Love too. It was awesome. I got teary eyed at the end. I liked Ka slightly better though.

Well, our May trip to Florida is now booked :cool1: Only 112 days!!!

Too bad you're not going June 16-23. I hear someone will celebrating their birthday there that week. :rolleyes1

Tinker-tude let me know what you think of Repo!

It is above zero here in Maine- so it aint that cold out.

Balmy, downright balmy tonight~

i thought it would be a lot more for taxes where you lived.
my house is small, 1680 sq ft and our taxes are $9800 a year.
(which we don't get much for what we pay)

i always figured the east coast and california had the highest taxes.

hope you get a great night's sleep.

those 6 years will fly by sooner than you think.
it's hard to believe that now, but it happens.

gee, i can't remember a lot of stuff when mine were small and pre school age. i think it was because there was strength in numbers. they outnumbered me.......

St L, now you're running with the big doggies.
congrats on the new post number.

and donald and metro, be sure to send me a postcard when you get to south america.........i love post cards!

Morning from the arctic south known as Florida. I will be so frigging glad when this damn cold front leaves us. I didn't move to Florida to have to deal with LOW 30 degree weather.

Global warming...yeah right.

Have a good day!
