Hey youse.....

Im so sleepy today.

I stayed up till 5am watching the Oscars.

It was so worth it tho.

Altho i did get a DIS boards warning for one of my posts  .....but i'll tell youse about that later !!

It was a great show and well pleased with the winners.

Slumdog...Woo - Hoo.:cheer2:

Im taking The Boy ice skating later..

Ive not been on ice for 20 yrs and Im kinda scared.

I even re- shaved my legs (dont want the medics to see my stubble )

Anyways if i dont break anything I will BBL.

morning all

happy birthday Gage! tell ur dad 3 more years & hide the car keys:lmao:
i'm not a fan of AK
go with epcot instead.
seems as though after a couple visits to AK, we can be out the door before noon to the next best thing

Everest is amazing:)
safari is great, as long as ur their early when the animals r still moving;)
hate the water ride, entire kids area (have lost a tyke or 2 in the dig in my day lol) & dinosaur, bumpy for bumpy's sake, why not indy!!!!:confused3 :sad1:
do like the walk thru area (name escapes me) near everest-indian themed?

Epcot is nice, mission space has lost it's appeal for me, living seas area is scary crowded sometimes

im not a big fan of the DUI driven downhill strollers in Epcot:rolleyes1 (rank amatuers:laughing: )....not sure why, yet the smell of stale beer is sooo cloying there @ times..bleech . Have never noticed it anywhere else in parks that serve.

I don't know...I still like MK better but that's me. I already renewed my pass so I'll go somewhere on my birthday this year and take advantage of the gift card.

for me WDW IS the Magic Kingdom:cloud9:

they did the presentations differently this year for best and supporting male and female actors. it was kind of nice done that way instead of the film clips of them.

Hi guys! We're back from the cold and snow! We got about 5 inches on Saturday before/while we were trying to leave, and Stephen was dying from his sinus infection, but we made it out finally. Everyone had a really good time, even though it was not the best of weather, Saturday at least. Since I know you don't want to hear me babble, I'll just go on to some pictures:

Matt & his girlfriend out on Lake Michigan:

Stephen & his girlfriend too, with the cagin we stayed in in the background:

The whole group out on the ice:

The rest of the gang playing Monopoly:

When I get a chance this evening, I'll post some more of the scenic pics, along with the highlight from the trip. You'll have to wait to find out what the teens ended up spending most of their time doing! (And, yes, it's DIS appropriate!).

Oops - I meant to include this one in the first batch. Matt walking out off into the distance across Lake Michigan. It was frozen as far as he was willing to walk out:

Barb- Max is so cute !!

The Boy would love a puppy, and sometimes i think it would be cool.....but i just dont do poop !!

We don't do the poop either...that's his job. :teeth: Along w/ putting him out, feeding him, etc... We help, but if it were up to US, we wouldn't have a dog (we're lazy that way  ) Figured 10 was a good age to get one..and, he's doing really well with the responsibility :thumbsup2

Gage said to thank you all for the birthday wishes :yay:

I missed it...please wish him happy belated from me. I hope it was a great birthday for him (13 is big deal!)

Gonna take advantage of the free birthday pass for DW in April, you think AK better then Epcot??

Epcot...more to do/see/eat/drink...

Hey youse...
The Jaws ride is the only one i will not ride.

That shark is just to jumpy outy...and it makes me feard !!

You have GOT to ride Jaws...at least once....and, after you ride it once, ride it in the dark! :cool1: Make sure you sit in the middle of the boat...not toward the ends/rails. Remember...it's fake ;) (if it's any consolation, it's not one Bubba rides often either :confused3 )

Hope ice skating went well...it's something to keep at to get better at. But, if you haven't been for awhile, it's like the riding the bike thing...comes right back to ya! DH plays ice hockey weekly (when not injured) and we've taken Bubba quite a few times. Takes him a while to get his "ice" legs back, but eventually does pretty well!

Chores to tend to....l8r gators.....

Afternoon everyone ...

Well ... looks like Winter is back at it again ... snowing here today :sad2:

On a brighter note, I think Spring is on it's way though - the dogs are shedding something fierce, and no matter how much you brush/comb them, there's still more fur coming out ...

HI all-
I meant to post yest, but got real busy and then I got sick and then got tired.
THe boys(DH and Matthew) came back safely yest late morning. Matthew had a blast!!! (they both went to a ski resort and did snow tubing with Matthew's boy scout troop). Most of hte boys from the troop did some skiing.
THey stayed in cabins. Did lots of :laundy: when they got back.
Chrissy was an angel with me all day Saturday. As soon as the boys got back, Chrissy did her tantrum stuff(back to her bad behavior again :sad2: :scared: )
Watched a little of the Oscars last night. I think I fell asleep thru parts of it.
Did see Best Actress and Best Actor and Best Picture. Glad to see Kate Winslet won! :cool1: I don't care for Sean Penn that much, oh well.

St L.- Happy Belated birthday to Gage! :cake: :bday:

Katie- welcome back! Let us know how your wedding planning trip went :bride: :flower3:

Marcie- enjoyed the pics :)

As of WDW, I have never been to AK, ever(I haven't gone enough times to WDW/UO). I do like MK, then DHS, then Epcot- in my order.

We went to see Friday the 13th last Wednesday afternoon ... there were a total of 7 people in the theater including us. I definitely agree it's a great time to go and a nice way to spend a couple hours :thumbsup2

The movies are so darn expansive still!!I love to catch a matinee but at $8 per tick and I have too get the big bucket of popcorn with extra extra butter and a large Sprite-OH HECK I wonna go to the movies now just for the popcorn!!!!:lmao:

the first movie for the afternoon, which is between 12 to 1:15 usually is cheap.
depending on which theater i go to, is either $4 or 5 or 6.

wed and fridays are the bargain days.

evening and weekend shows are $9.50 a head.

Thats cheaper then over here..The theater is old and the seats are very uncommfy..:sad2: But if you dont get full on the popcorn, they got a great Golden Corral next door over. The buffet is only $10 for lunch!!:thumbsup2 Well worth it...

Hello all! Just thought I'd put my two sense in...the wedding food was yummy!!! Thank goodness Katie doesn't eat much, leaves more for me :woohoo: I'm sure you will all see some pics of the food once the TR begins...:rolleyes1
