Something About Nothing............ #14

We're on our way home and I have been dozing in the car while dh drives. I woke up just in time to see the Welcome to Alabama sign. Yes, we just drove an hour and 15 minutes in the wrong direction. How's your Sunday going?

Ah, looked at my watch, ooh almost lunchtime already. My sister had another event she was going to today, so next week, our Sunday visits will resume. Hence, another lazy weekend day for us.

And, the day we get to do that final fill up of the trash cans, and then roll them to curb around dinner time.

Ack, Charade, I’m hoping you’re driving in the northern direction now. Hey, at least you could visit Nashville on the way. Hehe.

Super happy Sunday wish today, to all the homies.

Buy one get one free chicken purchase at Shake Shack today. We had a nice hot temp late lunch there yesterday, where both of us had burgers. I’ll ask kids if they want a late lunch there today too. Where hoping two of us prefer chicken.

Good morning everyone.

Hehe passed a car carrier with a mini, a big sedan, a truck and a corvette. All had different colors. Was in the fast line for some time, before it finally moved over to the slow. Ugh. Cute picture of that little Deere that big truck, Keisha.

Ah, so much calmer than the tax deadline day tomorrow. We did that last year, and swore not to do it this year. Went to mail our payments and no line to speak of at the post office this morning. Unlike last year, when we were in there on tax day, and line was out the door. Pleasantly surprised that our payments were less than I thought they would be.

And so cute, as when we went to pay our cpa, a small little dog ran from the offices into the entrance where little one and I were. He was so friendly, and loved getting petted. When we stopped and left, he ran back to the offices. Guess he belongs to one of the workers there.

Time for my bedtime, as little one wants to leave early tomorrow. Doing a road trip to the mountains, where older one likes to shop at a shop there. For years, nothing was around it, but in the last couple of years, a shopping area was established, with a Sheetz, among other restaurants and shops. Know where we are going to have our lunch. There is really no close Sheetz near us, and they have really good fast food there.

And yay, finally allowed the kids to turn on our AC. Thermostat showed 75 degrees. Ah, do like when it’s even cooler than that to sleep. Didn’t ask how low they went. Probably 65. Eh, we all still have blankets on our beds. Was 78 today, flirting with 90 tomorrow’s high, 87 Thursday and 79 on Friday. Totally enjoying this taste of early summer. And glorious blue sky today. And yes, shorts and shades worn all day. And will be the rest of this week, as high on Saturday is 76. But then next week, back to mid April temps, with low of 51 and high of 67 the first four days of next week. Based on the 10 day forecast.

Hope all are having a nice week so far. Camel may or may not make his appearance, given that road trip. But will be a great day for it, with both kids’ cars getting washed before we head home, as my sister said we could do those cleaning jobs in her much larger driveway than ours.

Ah, time for bed, yep. Little one complained I haven’t got moving until lunchtime lately. And so, set the alarm, even though I’d probably be awake around when it will go off.

Before today is over:

Yep, hope all that had file your taxes, filed them today, either by snail mail or online.

And wahoo, a camel says, hump of a day it was, warm, and our AC has been on for two days now. By Monday, probably will switch back to heat. Yeah, 20 degree drop from these nice and warm days, and a rainy Sunday predicted before that 51 high and wall to wall sunshine on Monday.

But as we get over this hump of day feeling day, that felt like a Friday today, with lots of traffic not usually seen on a Wednesday, then boom a day later is indeed Friday.

Hope all are enjoying life and planning some fun to be had. Our May countdown is now almost a day lower. Woot!

Had a nice ride to that store in the mountains, and as so busy traffic, but uneventful ride back to my sister’s, where we washed the cars, and drove little one’s car home, as older one stayed to help her out, and he’ll be home tomorrow in his car.

Ack, this day went by fast. Almost ready to get into my pajamas.

Shorts again tomorrow. Yay!

Happy Friday. I have another exciting day of laundry and housecleaning. I have one load of towels in the wash and another in the dryer.

This week I wanted to leave my office, go to the airport, and head straight to Orlando. It started last Wednesday just a few hours before I was ready to leave for the day. One therapist, I'll call her A, decided that was the perfect time to rearrange 2 of her clients schedules. She told me that one person was switching from weekly, to every other week. Later she told me she as staying weekly. Then, just as I was about to leave for the day, she says no, it's every other week. Grrr! The same therapist also decided that Wednesday afternoon was also a good time to fix a problem she was having with the scheduling software on her laptop, a problem she has had for several months and did't bother trying to get it fixed before. She didn't get it fixed.
Now on to this week. My boss gave me an assignment of printing transaction reposts for all of A's inactive clients. All I had to do was print the reports (took almost all day) and then put them in the respective files. I went to put the reports in A's files on Wednesday and guess what? None of her inactive client folders were in alphabetical order!!!! She also didn't have them in hanging file folders. They were just tossed haphazardly in file drawers. I almost lost it right there. The cherry on top of all this mess - A tells me that the client I mentioned earlier is supposed to be on the schedule weekly. (We talked this one out and every other week is the correct scheduling.)
If you made it this far, thank you for letting me vent. Hopefully next week will be better.

We filed about a week or so before the deadline. I think this is the latest we have ever filed. I miss the days when we used to get a small refund. It's to difficult to predict dh's income since he never knows when he will be able to pick up extra classes. Our accountant gave us the option of having the IRS direct debit our account for our payment. I'm not really sure how I feel about that.

And yay, finally allowed the kids to turn on our AC. Thermostat showed 75 degrees. Ah, do like when it’s even cooler than that to sleep. Didn’t ask how low they went. Probably 65.
I've had our AC off and on for the past month or more since the weather keeps changing so dramatically. Tomorrow we are supposed to have a high of 89 and then high of 62 on Sunday. I would love to open the windows on cooler days, but this pollen is killing me.

I suppose I should go and do something productive. Hope everyone is having a nice start to the weekend.
