Deluxe studio, with a street view. Still raining, so we left our luggage in the car. If it stops raining, we will walk to DS to search for a sweet treat and a nice cup of coffee. And then retrieve our luggage.

Hope all have a good Thursday night. Friday will be a suffer view in the afternoon. Yay!

Hello and happy first day of summer. I am so not looking forward to our weather next week.

I think it’s going to be cooler in Florida.

We’ve had quite a bit of rain here too. I’m going to need to get the “lawn guy” out soon. He’s a neighborhood teenager, but does a great job on the lawn. He has aspirations to open a landscaping business.

It’s Friday so that means laundry and errands for me.

Have only been there a handful of times. Those trees help with the privacy aspect. We’ve had studio views no more than 50 feet from bus stop. Noisy, we called it our wake up call each AM lol

So, are we hitting up a different view tomorrow?

Yes, we’ve had some dogs over the years there. My mindset there is no “bad view” as you are on vacation. For me, the noise factor is far bigger impediment.

Nice to see he has some thoughts above his future, so many kids don’t give it a 2nd thot until their senior year, then panic sets in.

The ‘lil & family did the reading food terminal yesterday (loved) and were pretty much stuck inside their downtown hotel in Phillie as to the heavy storms in the afternoon/evening. Good thing they had nice club spread. Looks like so many of yesterday’s track events delayed, her late afternoon time will probably morph into the evening to try to get caught up. Hopefully, Saturday’s event will be on time. She got a ton of nice swag from New Balance this year. So few events give the invitees much of anything, a very nice gesture. Guessing, it helps get those from all over the country to vie for the invites lol.

time to take the pooches out to grab some fresh air, then look at my vac packing list to see what needs refreshed. Trying to go light(er) this trip, packed waaay too many bags last go-around.

Good Friday morning everyone

Ah, kids are home, as took DH to his appt. He’s hoping to walk without help at the end of this round of rehab. I really hope he does. But for now, he pushes that wheelie cart, he can sit on, when he’s tired. Not using the wheelchair as much, thankfully. This wheelie is easier to toss in the back of the car., than that wheelchair.

Lynne hope your hubby continues to improve and reaches his goal of no walker.

I think I will start a countdown until my next trip.

Ran up to country store this am, grabbed bunch of tbonz, porterhouse, along with pork loin & a coupe of chuck roasts. Keep saying I’m going to let the chest freezer empty out & defrost it…but no, just can’t resist a good sale. Bonus points the new Bealls is in same area, got a cute skort.

Sounds like you scored in the meat department.

The ‘lil on her way to New Balance Nationals, competes tomorrow & Saturday. They’ve been in Phillie serveral times for various competitions have done most of the sites. Had to laugh after I asked what she was most looking forward to there (other than the competition) and her reply was: “the hotel’s club lounge”. Well, ok then!

To cute……the youngsters are so honest in their response to things. They must have a good club lounge at the hotel.

Ah, yes, Keisha, the Reading Terminal Market, hope they picked up a cannoli and cheesecake from Termini’s. Yeah, saw my area had an awesome thunderstorm line come yesterday. Older one said power is out in some places this morning, but we never lost power, thankfully.

Awfy excited for Epic. We aren’t putting too much stress on it,we will ride what we can ride. We are excited just to wander round and eat.

Enjoyed the gardens and zoo in Nassau. Was hot hot hot out.

And what nice weather we had on our cruise. Last night looked like this, as we left Castaway Cay. Beach was hot, water warm.



Now onto some park fun days before we leave.

Will say, walking out of the ship around 7:15 am, no line at security, fast picture, have a nice day. No need for any showing of passport. And parking at the port was easy too.

Quick ride, took us an hour to get to the Target in Millennium. Got there, grabbed some drink and snacks for our room. Then quick down I 4, to park in the lime garage around 9:25.

All open now, so wishing all a Most Marvelous Monday. And hehe, hotter at home than here.

It just broke 95, real feel 105 That's a new record here today. Don't laugh, too hot to bother going into pool for me

Nope, Keisha, no steaks, mediocre hamburgers or skinny not all white chicken on the bone. Did have fruit, that was good, and the potato salad was actually good. We ate at the taco place when we got back to the ship. As we did not enjoy that bbq on the adult beach. Did though, liked we could make our own ice cream cone. We ate those as we waited for the tram. Will say, was very low tide at the adult beach, and not as fun to swim in to knee high water as far as they let you go out.

I'll be back at Universal in August, third trip in 2025. Each trip is differently special, but this is probably the last trip with my adult son until years from now when there are grandkids. He used to hate theme parks, but he had a great time in 2021 and asked if he could go back while his girlfriend is spending time with her family. My youngest, a teenager, is also going. I thought we'd wait for Epic, but we changed our minds of course. We're big Nintendo fans.

My husband asked how the English lady is doing, because he predicted I'd be back on the diaboards now that I've booked the flight. He knows me.

A quick good morning. Dh and I are headed up to Charlottesville soon. He is having genetic counseling about his birth family. I don’t see the need for me to be there. I think he just wants me there for emotional support.
We are waiting for our neighbor to come and start mowing the lawn. I’m going to leave a cooler full of water and Gatorade for him.

This is his 3rd summer mowing for us and some others in the neighborhood. He was already talking about a landscaping career 3 years ago.

This is extremely rare for us. We see does all the time, but I think I have only seen a buck 2 or 3 times since we have lived in Virginia.

Caspian was going nuts, scratching at the back door. I got up to see what was bothering him. We had visitors.

Awfy excited for Epic. We aren’t putting too much stress on it,we will ride what we can ride. We are excited just to wander round and eat.

Yes, the heat and humidity is baking it seems everywhere.

Been hot here like everywhere. The heat and humidity has been pretty miserable……Welcome to summer in the South.

Need to get out to the store today.

I grilled New York strips yesterday evening and hubby was a happy camper. He likes steak.

I have a medical procedure tomorrow early in the morning so only clear liquids today. No big deal. Its not my first rodeo with this.

I have seen some of the information on the houses so far for HHN. Have to admit I just can’t seem to get to excited about this years event as I have in the past…will see if that changes as more information is released.

We have some cracks and settling of our house on one corner. There were underground mines all around this area, but according to the maps I saw and speaking to an elderly gentleman who lived close by before we bought the house many moons ago. There were no underground mines on the land our neighborhood was built on. It was grazing land for a farmers cows.

We have a construction company coming out this morning to have a look.

We just replaced our driveway last year.

I had such a wonderful visit with little J on Friday. I often say it’s the little ones that often give us old folks perspective on how wonderful life really is. He is such a happy little fella.

We went shopping at Target and he loves to go to Starbucks there. He wanted a cake pop and I asked him how he like it. He told me his macaron was delicious. I asked my niece his mom if she had bought him some macarons and she said no J had seen a video of macarons being made and liked it.

So now I think he needs to have a proper macaron. I just need to find a place that makes them fresh.

My sister who lives in Harmony, Florida knows a lady that makes them fresh and I had one and it was delicious.

Bus waiting Tuesday for us. Have water bottles filled with icy cold water. After our long day, leaving Epcot at 11pm from those magic hours. Let little one sleep, as I was a little later getting up today too.

MK fun when the bus to be in another 15 minutes or so. We are enjoying a slight breeze, and at least the bus stop at YC is covered with 3 benches and we are the only ones waiting, after the DS and TL bus cane, and the three waiting with us got on that bus. Music to keep us entertainment background noise.

Terrific Taco Tuesday. Probably hotdogs for us, for lunch.

Wonderful Wednesday, camel said he’s taking a break, as AK is the first one, and he said he’s enjoying meeting the other animals at the safari. Which is our first planned ride.

Almost ready to rock and roll. Hehe, 10 degrees cooler than at home right now. And we are at 79.

I'm keeping an open mind. The house selections thus far are certainly different

Am hoping they fo run with the gothic theme as promised, especially gargoyles! Maybe a weeping angel or two. Would make a great house or scarezone IMO

Its very common here to discover that the (very old mine maps on file), often decidedly don't include all areas. Think of it as an estimation

I keep a stash of aldi frozen ones in derp freeze...in case if emergency break glass sort. They are decent

Good morning. Caspian decided that I needed to be up at 5:30 this morning. He has gone back to sleep and I am still wide awake.

It has been very dull here lately. Nothing interesting to post about. I have been trying to figure out if I can sneak in a Universal trip before my next Universal trip.

It is so strange having temps here that are hotter than FL. We had some thunderstorms yesterday that cooled the temps significantly.

His sister is in the early stages of dementia. This is what he is most frightened about happening to him. To the best of our knowledge no one else in the family has had it though.
