Better safe than sorry
Had snow overnight, the hawks are circling my dog (pooch) like vultures when I take him out. Over-fertile mind, reminds me of dragons.
Think the rougher winter has been hard this year on the local wildlife.
Supposed to finally finish the demolition of old power plant here. The one that started with the big towers coming down a year ago. Lawsuits were filed as to safety concerns by nearby residents whose homes were damaged. Can’t say I blame them.
They tried to pull the tall building down last week, only 70% cooperated. The dust cloud was awful, can’t imagine the carcinogens that got stirred up in it. Didn’t go out of house that day, not planning on doing so today either JIK
Making chocolate chip cookies, just because today. Roast chicken breasts on the menu for dinner. It’s still difficult to find them here since the pandemic??? Sweet &/or baked taters along with pickled cucumber salad. Tomorrow, making a half ham I found hiding in the freezer.
Immediately, my mind went to this

Absolutely. Last few times I’ve had pics off my phone enlarged at Walgreens, I’ve gotten a warning the pixels were off. Went ahead & ordered anyway, and they looked fine to me.
New to me, guess they’ve been around for a while, are metal tile sort of things, about the size of an ipad. They affix to wall but are able to be changed out easily with other ones as the mood strikes you. Used DS as a guinea pig for them, looks nice in a hallway he has.
Yes, it’s fully warmed up now, says he can’t pry his cat off it lol
she doth protest too much. JK, I’m sure she’s a humble person and thinks it’s possibly a bit too showy but, deep down, bet she is tickled pink by it! Going to be so much fun for all.
If anyone can convince me to make Tom`s year and book a cruise it`s you!! The more the merrier!
Staying in cookie making sounds like a plan! Demolition of things like that are horrible.
The picture isn`t awful, it`s fine actually, but it just isn`t as crystal clear as normal pics, she`ll still like it though, not sure if I`ve heard about what you mean with the tiles, sounds nice though.
lol....as long as the kitty is fine, all is good!
Yes, I think she`ll love the crown, I might struggle to get it back off her lol
Good morning everyone

Thank you Carole. The girls are doing good. Daughter in law is still in therapy. She is off her crutches, but still hobbling a bit. Granddaughter surgical site almost totally healed.
Little J unbeknownst to anyone had a ruptured ear drum do to infection. Was seen by his doctor and is on antibiotics and is doing a lot better. Fever has subsided. Doc said the ear drum will heal and they will keep watch on it.
I know you will help do your mom’s birthday up in style for sure. I’am sure she will enjoy having her family around her celebrating with her.
Thank you Janet. Hubby is doing well. Thankfully he is having more good days then bad ones so he is progressing well thank you for asking.
For sure Mac. Birthdays are a fun time to extend the celebrations.
Hey!!!!!! Sue….good to see your post.
Have a nice meal out with your mom Ruth. I’am sure she will enjoy getting out with you all for a meal.
WOW……sounds like you all have an interesting mix of wild life near you.
Pretty flowers that are blooming in your yard..
Pumpkin what a nice little getaway to see your family.
LOL…….I call it shellback…..
I agree I4, I75 and I95 are not for the faint of heart.
Nextdoor neighbor went to MCO to pick up her grandson Thrusday afternoon and they were stuck on the I95 for 3 1/2 hours because of a terrible crash on their way back. She said when they finally started moving they saw the vehicles and said she did not see how anyone could have survived the crash as the vehicles involved were pretty mangled. Sad situation.
Charade have a wonderful vacation.
I have been trying to post his since this earlier this morning. Finally I just sat down to finish it.
Went up to KSC yesterday with one of my fellow Rocket Sista’s. They are making progress on the tower for Artemis 2.

I surprised her with an uninterrupted visit to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. She was like a kid in candy shop taking photos.

I was happy to have another walk around. One of the employees told us that they were expecting over 5000 kids today for field trips. We saw a good portion of them when we entered when KSC opened. She said they called Friday during the school year Field Trip Friday. I will have to remember that.
We did see a IMAX on Deep Sky…….LOL…I looked over a couple of times during the movie and her eyes were closed. It was’nt that it was boring show it was more that we had lunch early and it was cool and dark in the cinema and when your over 65 and your belly is full this happens sometimes…….LOL….I will admit my head may have bobbled a few times.
We walked over to the Gateway Deep Space Launch Complex for a walk around.

I do like the design of the SpaceX space suits.
We then went to hear a short lecture on Mars. We did not fall asleep…LOL
Although I love space and space travel I tend to be a bit of a pessimist on the whole thing of occupying Mars. If man cannot get along here on earth were survival is relatively easy there is no way they can get along under the living conditions on Mars.
Poor little guy, such a painful thing to have, but when you`re that age, it`s horrendous. Glad he got the meds and he is on the mend. It is a joyous thing to say everyone is on the mend in your family, a blessing for sure.
We were lucky twice at KSC we got that area to ourselves for about 20 minutes, pictures were amazing with no one in them.
Our last trip was a Friday and we did see some school kids when we arrived, but they didn`t impact our trip in any way thankfully.
Have a great weekend Robbie.
Currently at Reagan International airport. We are way too early. Our flight doesn’t leave until 3:39. I expected the airport to be very busy but it isn’t. We breezed through baggage check and TSA. So far everyone we encountered has been super nice and friendly. We will need to eat something before boarding since we don’t land until after 6 and breakfast was around 9:00. There is a crepe stand right outside our gate. Yum!
It`s always nice when you expect something to be busy and it isn`t, safe travels and yes, have some food!!
We had as beautiful an afternoon as we did a morning, although it has gone dark in the last hour and it gets chilly when that sun goes down, time for the heating.
I have my.....I mean ahem, mum`s tiara and I love it!!!
I may keep it on tonight, Tom can call me Her Royal Highness

Thai food on order, should be here soon then some Johnny Depp!!
