It’s a little over an hour.
Not bad at all. You`ll be home now, hope you had a good sleep.
Was fine to head to grocery
for quick pickup of ice cream. A need, not a want. Have some lovely basil the mr grew that needs used. Found some fresh mini sausage ravioli and mushroom tortellini. Making two sauces, one that’s my pizza sauce and the other butter/oglio/cajun sort the mr likes with his grilled shrimp and spaghetti (his dinner). Will toss in some cherry tomatoes, peppers, onion and lots of garlic & other spices.
Yes, it’s not exactly the smartest first meal after tummy issues
Wound up stopping by Ross in same shopping plaza and picked up a big bagful of clothes for jr to sort thru as his wardrobe needed some refreshing. Found a little something for everyone. Just some new makeup for me.
See above, however, not so sure I’ll ever hit the normal metric lol
I bet they are to other oysters. Fun fact: oysters can change their sex at will depending on mating conditions.

Think I missed a very happy anniversary shout out to Mr & Mrs Mac! Sounds like you had a lovely day celebrating each other
Oh my, when it rains, it does pour! What are the odds of that happening? Best wishes to the both of them that they have great results (and lots of better living thru chemistry while recuping)
Ooh that sounds very good
I love May, my favorite two Daves are born the end of the month!
Since we have a couple options daily for NS to MCO, consider it a supreme waste of time to even consider booking a connection when the flight is under 2 hours
The girls flew home on my DSs reward points thru delta. First flight was cancelled, was going to Detroit. 2nd one the next day turned out better in their favor, just had to deal with ATL and were in the same terminal.
Food sounds good!!! I love Basil, Tom not so much which is a shame as I use it in some dishes but add it later just for me, we have some lemon basil growing right now, he`ll like that even less lol.....ice cream is definitely a want at times!!
New clothes and make up....fun!!! Yes, I do agree normal is subjective lol....
I`m more an oyster and champagne kinda gal, but sounds good too!!! Haven`t had a beer in forever now I think on it.
Yes, my niece needed a type of surgery that requires a specialist kind of surgeon and there are very few of them so she has waited a time, sister in law apparently her hip has all but crumbled completely. Both have been in tremendous pain so hopefully this will be the solution. So worried about my niece today, as I said I know she`ll be fine, but, it`s still a worry.
You do have some nice celebrations this month, and your family celebrates very well indeed as one should do!!!
Lynne, back in the dark ages, I lived (barn and raised in East St. Illinois just across the river to St. Louis.
Most called it not idea as muggy hot temps once it was around Early May- or soon after.
Kind of reminds me how similar to being what we called the arm pit of the South.
There are times I wish I had never moved to Chicago for work.
Now that I am older, wish I never left that area.
Always regretted once I grew older how I wanted to someday move back to that area,
just seemed like home.there for me.
All the good paying jobs were in the North back then
The older I get the more I wish there was a time tunnel to go back home.
I did enjoy my job in St Louis and the weather much better than living in the chicago north way back then
You have the best weather now mac which is such a good thing. Moving for work is so common though.
Quick stop in before I head to bed. I have a couple loaves of bread baking in the oven...then it's time for bed once they come out. We are enjoying the fresh bread...and it's easy to whip a couple of loaves in the evening.
Had a quiet weekend puttering and cleaning. Got one corner straightened out. Once more little corner that is driving me nuts to tackle - maybe this weekend if we don't go to the city to see the kids and gd.
I've been trying to get out walking on my breaks. I've been hitting the path for the perfect 15 minute lap twice a day. Today was cold again. Woke up to frost on the windshield this morning
We are finally getting some much needed rain. It looks like it's supposed to rain/snow mix overnight

Of course it would happen now - after I see the flowering buds are just popping out on my lilac tree. I'm trying to be grateful for the moisture - in whatever form we get. I am patiently waiting for the weather to warm up.
Well, it's almost time to take the bread out of the oven.
Have a great sleep everyone - I'll leave the night light on for everyone who may stumble around tonight.
Bread is so easy to make isn`t it!! We tend to make Focaccia more that anything or just a plain old white but add garlic and rosemary to both, so much better than store bought bread. We have an abundance of rosemary in the garden which we both love I`m glad to say and use it a lot in dishes.
Nice you`re getting walking again, it makes such a difference. The cold does make a difference though, so fingers crossed you heat up soon. We are getting flowers through and our lavendar plants are already blooming nicely and we can already smell the scent from them when we pass them, it`s so lovely when the garden comes to life after winter.
lol.....you say puttering we say pottering......similar but different!!
First day of May......I think we`re supposed to go wash our faces in the early morning dew and we`ll be pretty forever.......
It`s mild, not windy or raining so heading out a walk this morning, not the prettiest of days as it is cloudy right now, but no wind or rain is enough to get us out. Will go down the beach, or shore as we call it in Scotland, the English always say beach, so whichever works, we know what we mean.
No definite plans for the rest of the day, will see what happens. Just hoping our weather changes for the better soon.....
Poached egg before we head out this morning, and tea of course
Happy Wednesday and first day of May!!!
