Someone with boys has to agree with me!

I totally agree!! It's either girly or geared for young kids. And really they have so many choices. I would love a pixar character meal...or a Disney villains meal.

My son didn't care about character meals at a young age but maybe his interest would have lasted longer if there had been pirates or Star Wars characters. I don't know for sure.

Personally I was glad to be done with character meals.

I agree. The whole princess thing has been taken to an obnoxious level.

It's this crazy princess fad that's going on right now. I have quite a few women on my facebook that even call their daughters their princesses. *GAG* One of them posts at least three statuses daily that contain the words "my princess." I removed her from my newsfeed to avoid puking.

Fantasyland expansion just alienated half the population. Not a smart decision. Fads come and go and eventually (hopefully) this princess crap will end. I would love to see new attractions be gender neutral.

BTW - I have both daughters and sons.

I totally agree! I have 2 older boys and would love to stay there but never will because of the standard rooms. We visited the resort last year and loved it and my boys did too but said they would never stay in the standard rooms. And we have no reason to stay in the suites plus that they are so expensive! I am wondering too what Disney was thinking! :confused3

I would love them to try the villian character meal again. It got some good reviews, but small children were reduced to tears. It was replaced by Cinderella's family, which I do really enjoy.

Here is an OLD disboards thread about it:

I have both a son and a daughter. They don't seem to get tired of the character meals. DS likes donald and DD likes chip & dale. I would like some more variety, of course.

My son is still young so doesn't have favorite characters yet, but I can certainly see that there is a lack of character meals and activites geared towards boys. I don't know why if they have several princess meals, the tea, the bippidity boppity boutique, etc., they can't have at least one character meal with boy favorites.

Its marketing 101.

Boys are not going to go to BBB to get their hair done before breakfast/dinner. Boys are not going to spend $100+ on a custome and accessories. Boys are not going to beg their Moms for the latest backpack, TShirt/Sweatshirt, stuffed animal. Boys eat, get a picture and want to run to the next ride! At best, they'll ask for the $10 sword!

$$$$$$ is in the girls!!!
