Going to IOA/US on a Sunday, Feb. 28th....one day, FOTL pass. Me and my sis...2 adults looking for fun!!! Where should we start??? We would like to do the major rides including RRnR if possible but not necessary. Also, we would like to stop and eat at some point...we are big foodies so the food needs to be GOOD. Someone help me with a plan!! I have been 2 times before but never with just another adult. Can someone help me with a good plan and a good suggestion for lunch? With one day, not sure we want to spend a lot of time eating but then again we might.....

Both parks are essentially circles so you can work your way around according to how much you want to do. You can't count on RRnR being open first thing in the morning (or even at all). If I were doing US I would start with Jimmy Neutron (many times US opens earlier than the posted opening time with only Jimmy Neutron and The Simpsons open) then The Simpsons. As you head to The Simpsons make a note of what time Terminator 3D opens. Do The Simpsons, MIB, Jaws, The Mummy (if it looks like it's going to be crowded you may want to do The Mummy then double back to Jaws), Twister, then head over to IOA.

I've skipped 4 main attractions at US, here's why: Disaster is entertaining but the actual ride part is pretty short and the preshow takes up a lot of time. Shrek and Terminator are shows with plenty of room, you can catch them later in the day when you finish the rides. RnRR is unreliable and takes up a lot of time. If you're determined to ride it I would make it the last ride of the day. That way even if it's a long wait and the park closes they will keep the line open until you ride it.

Anyway, in IOA do Hulk and Spiderman. You'll have to see what the weather is like before you decide on the water rides. If you are skipping them head to Jurassic Park for the river ride, it's a water ride but no the kind that will get you soaked. Then Dueling Dragons. I like the Cat in the Hat ride and the trolley in Dr. Seuss but that's optional.

If you want to eat, Mythos in IOA has won the "best restaurant in a theme park in the world" award so many times nobody else bothers to compete anymore. If you're in US when you get hungry Finnegan's is nice.

After you finish the thrill rides catch the shows you missed at Universal. See Disaster, or The Beetlejuice Revue, or the Horror Makeup Show. This should make for a full, fun day.

Can't argue with anything Purseval recommended. Again, Spiderman is the best ride in any park in Orlando. Don't miss it. The Dudley Doright and Popeye water rides will get you completely soaked unless you use a nice, large poncho. Jurassic Park is not too bad and you can avoid getting wet altogether.

The 2 shows at IOA Sinbad and Poseidon can be skipped if you are short on time. Same for Dr. Doom, it's a poor imitation of Tower of Terror.

If you're pressed for time then eat counter service and then try one of the places outside the parks for dinner after the parks close.

Our plane leaves at 8:30pm so I need to be out of IOA/US by 6:30pm at the LATEST. THANK you all for the information...very helpful. I don't really like to get soaked so we will be skipping the water rides although I think Jurassic Park is worth doing (been twice before so I am familiar with the rides for the most part). We will also probably skip The Simpsons (I know, gasp!!) because the last time I rode it, I didn't do so well with that type of motion...I can do all rollercoasters but not simulators (the Shrek version is okay...anything like Simpsons, Star Tours at WDW, that type....not fun). Can someone tell me about Jimmy Neutron...not sure that I have done that one.

We may try Mythos...will we have to have a ressie...Sunday Feb. 28th...only 2 people...flexible on time...when is easiest...obviously not right at lunch!!!

Jimmy Neutron is a bit like the Simpsons. You sit about 5 in a "vehicle" and face a large movie screen. The motions of the vehicle match what's happening on the screen. You "fly" through several scenes, then into outer space, and then come back. It's a lot of fun.
Again, much like the Simpson but the movement does not quite jerk as much.

You can wait for your friend while he/she rides the Simpsons and the Jimmy Neutron ride has a stationary row of seats in the front if you prefer no motion.
