It's taking all my will power to not tell him how stupid this is given those height requirements are there to ensure the seatbelt/bar etc. works properly! He claims they put two travel packs of tissues in her shoes.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest! :flower3:

And that idiot would be the one who would sue Disney if something happened to their child. They would never admit their part and Disney would be to blame.
I would imagine that if heaven forbid, something did happen, and the two packs of tissues were clearly stuffed in the child's shoes, Disney would have a pretty strong defense!

Wow! I can't stand when people start complaining about height requirements or try to figure out ways to cheat the system. As everyone has already said, safety regulations are there for a reason! I'm hoping my son is 44in by our next trip but if he's not- who cares! We won't be stuffing tissues in his shoes to get him on rides.

In my opinion this is someone who selfishly only cares about not being inconvenienced by having to rider swap. The fact that they are broadcasting it on Facebook is just disgusting plea for attention to me. Put your kids first, after all it is only a ride.

Is this something they are broadcasting on their own personal status update/facebook page? Or on a Disney page or in a Disney community? I would have a very hard time keeping my mouth shut on this. A VERY hard time.

It's just a ride, I cannot imagine a ride being more important than the safety of my child. I have to wonder about people who willingly put they their children at risk, especially for something as unimportant as a ride at a theme park.

It's his personal page...he's a "friend" of mine.

Whatever FB page he's bragging on, I hope he gets the public shaming he deserves.

I'm sorry to report ALL the responses are telling how awesome it is and what a good idea it is. I really think I'm going to have to say something!

I knew my DIS would have my same opinions!

You should say something so he knows to unfriend you.

Just step back and think how sad that is to brag you got someone on a ride who could be at risk to hurt themselves

I saw a kid today who I thought was too short for BTMR and no CM stopped them. They were right in front of us in the FP line, I was shocked with they didn't do rider swap.

Sadly bragging about sneaking your kids on rides just makes Disney be more strict about it. When they eventually have to ask kids to take off their shoes it is going to hold up the line even further.

I was just talking to my now 16-yo dd tonight about when we went to Six Flags (TX) when she was about 7 and she realized she was tall enough to ride the Shockwave... she was ADAMANT about riding and I was terrified (she was/is small for her age!)... i can't imagine trying to get a child on a ride that is technically too SMALL to ride... I really wish she wasn't tall enough to ride at that time... of course, I trust Disney rides more than Six Flags rides but still... would NEVER try to "cheat" the height requirement.. what sort of parent actually does that?!?!?

I put it on Facebook for my friends to pray, send grow vibes, cross their fingers, etc. for my son to grow one more inch before our next trip. It would open up some favorite rides for him to finally be able to ride. So many people commented telling me to stuff his shoes to get him on the ride. Uh... NO! The rules are the rules and we will abide by them. It's scary how many people want to skirt around rules.

seriously... are rides really THAT important that parents are willing to risk their children's safety for?!?!? bring them back when they're older/taller... the rides will still be there! and besides that... there is still PLENTY else to do at WDW!!!
