"Someone left their inside b*** on the toilet!" July-Aug 2014 Done 3/03/2015

Love POR, we stayed in April at a royal room. We loved the theming and how close we were to the main building, it is my fave of the mods for sure. We just got back from WDW a November stay and we splurged and tried the Poly because we had a really good deal, it was lovely to be at a monorail resort even with construction, we are spoiled now for sure, excited to find out which section you all ended up in at POR!

Curious, how do you get a good deal at the Poly? Thanks in advance.

we got the 30% disney offered plus I had a 15% coupon from Travelocity so we paid the same as what we would have paid for a royal room at POR so thought we try it, really liked it.

Wow, the All Stars actually are quite lovely. I've never been, but they really are well themed.

That Ariel statue is really nice. I must try to at least visit one day.

Off to Riverside!!! Nice.

Oh, you will have to go take a peek. They are fun to walk around. The values have a special feel.

I love all of the All Stars pictures! I was there visiting a friend staying in I believe Sports about 20 years ago and don't remember a lot about it, so it's nice to see all of the details. :) Yay for getting to the Toy Story section! I love that area and need to see it in person! :)

Yay for POR! We stayed in Alligator Bayou (for the murphy bed...we had 3 adults, 2 kids) in March and it's such a nice resort. :)

Oh my gosh, if I stay at Movies again, then I am requesting Toy Story. It's the fun section. LOL

The Murphy bed is definitely convenient, but I really love the Mansions too.

The Poly would be lovely! I want to stay there one day too. But of course, I want to stay at all the resorts, so which one do I NOT want to stay at? ;)

We left off with suitcases on our knees, at our feet and between us, on top of what could barely fit in the trunk! We were on our way to POR when the rain started like crazy.

We pulled in, found a spot and RAN inside. I didn't even bother taking my camera bag, because it was so wet.

We had decided on the way over to ask for a room in Alligator Bayou if we got a room in Magnolia Bend. We thought maybe P would sleep better with her own bed. We didn't have to. We were assigned to building 37. Room 3754 to be exact.

We took the car around the back to get to our room.

See our pile of luggage here? Out of those, 4 are mine! The Mickey suitcase, the World suitcase, and the two bags on the ends (both are camera bags). This is why I felt bad not helping with the luggage.

from raw-9677 by disneyfreak0306, on Flickr

This was to be my bed for the remainder of the trip! I had no issues sleeping on it at all.

I love the little Mickey.

It was so rustic feeling.

I didn't really like the shower curtain.

Top floor, so we had to lug all that up the stairs. LOL

It was still a little wet and rainy, but we wanted to eat, so off we went.

The others realized that they forgot some clothes in the laundry room at All Star Sports, so they took the car back. We were going to meet up at Magic Kingdom later. Q and K picked up an extra day on their tickets so that they could go some more. We also ended up changing some of our days around, and we lost our TSMM fast pass. I refused to let them take away our MK day because we'd lose our SDMT FP+.

It seemed like I waited a while for a bus, watching every other bus go by, but all in all it was probably around 20 minutes.

Do you think P is excited to get the bed to herself?

Oh wow, how cool to have that additional pull out bed. It looks so small in terms of length wise. Glad you had no issues.

My first thought was how rustic it looked. I guess I hadn't seen many Riverside photos.

Hard not to like a covered bus depot... with water fountain. :goodvibes

The Murphy bed was handy. I didn't find it too short, but I'm only about 5'2" so I'm kinda on the short side myself. ;) I did find it kind of cool at night though. It was better than being kicked by my niece.

The bus depot being covered, with the fountain, was nice, but I still prefer bus stops that have actual queues. I have never had a big problem with them, but still, I like the organized queues better.

How do you rate Port Orleans vs. the other hotels at WDW you've stayed at Tina?

Yay for POR! I really enjoyed staying there in March. :) I want to say we were in the 37 building too, but I'd have to look at my pictures where I know I took a pic of the room number. We were on the first floor though, and the room was the opposite, but I think it was the same building. :)

I thought the same thing about the shower curtain. I didn't know why they did it as fish and not a Disney character or something.

I find it peaceful. I have never had any issues with any resort, and you're asking the girl who struggles with picking her favorite park because she doesn't want the others to feel bad!

In all seriousness I find POR very beautiful. The rooms have been clean the two times I stayed there, and it is peaceful and green and lush. I did have one little almost complaint about it, but that will come later in the TR. And I found Alligator Bayou very confusing! I got turned around a few times going back to my room. LOL But I love it. That Murphy bed is very handy too!

Don't worry, more POR pics will come! Too funny that you were in the same building! First floor would definitely be more convenient for sure! I know... fish when you could have Mickey. At least use Dory, Nemo and Marlin! Maybe not, considering you can fish there! Hee hee hee

Love all the pics, as always!

Thanks!

I got to the MK and wanted to do at least one thing that I knew P would not want to do. So I went straight for Tomorrowland.

I love Magic Kingdom.

I had to wait a minute for the building to let me in, so I turned and took a picture behind me of another ride that I love, but that was under refurbishment.

I took others, but I didn't put them on flickr this time. LOL So if there are any of you out there that want to see them, I can add them to flickr for you.

Once out of COP, the others were just arriving, so we met up near Space Mountain for our FP+.

I am a firm believer that every person should see CoP at least once. Being a Walt original, I wish it was appreciated more.

I followed you over from my TR! I am only up to the chapter where the Q loses her stomach, but I think she would agree with me that they should call this the Primevel HURL.

Going back to read more....

Great pictures! I can never get enough of looking at castle pictures. :)

Me neither... which is why I take so many! LOL

I totally agree! It's like One Man's Dream. It's a must at least once. And I DO ride IASW each and every trip.

Hee hee hee! Yes, she totally agrees!

I met the others around Space Mountain, because that was our first ride of the day for P and K. Q was going to wait for us outside. We must have had FP+ for it, because I didn't have time to take a single picture anywhere.

wd034wdw2014210103041624_7032432061_18 by disneyfreak0306, on Flickr

There was a problem after the ride though. It was horrible. We lost Q! She said she would wait near the Lunching pad... or so we thought.

from raw-9787 by disneyfreak0306, on Flickr

We looked and looked and wandered, K even checked the first aid area. He went off and asked P and I to wait near the Lunching Pad, so I tried to buy a cream cheese pretzel. By tried, I mean I ordered it, and tried to pay with my Magic Band, but couldn't. I had no cash on me, and I had the pretzel in my hand. So they gave it to me! I thought that was very nice. I have no clue why the band wouldn't work. It worked later though.

The Lunching Pad was under construction, and we hadn't noticed there were two sides. Q was on the other side. OOPS! After this mix up, we made sure that Q had a cell phone (she and K share a phone) after that. I usually kept mine and P sometimes had hers. So we could at least text her while she waited for us.

from raw-9788 by disneyfreak0306, on Flickr

The others got another cream cheese pretzel to share. I just have to say that is now going to be a must snack for me. Those things are just so delicious!!!

P pointed out that they were testing out the Peoplemover!

from raw-9789 by disneyfreak0306, on Flickr

After our snacks of water and cream cheese pretzel, we were off to find another ride for P.

Finally caught up here. I have been reading off and on for a few days but I just haven't been able to catch all the way back up.

I am loving all your tours of the resorts. Busch Gardens looked very fun.
I am with you on CoP. I have heard CM's tell you know pictures and then sometimes they just say no flash photography. I have taken a few on it as well then.
