Hi i dont know if this is where to ask this but hopefully somoene will have an answer for me. I booked a trip through a package website similar to expedia.
It allowed me to book a week in the pop century during the free dining promotion without buying any tickets. It says that the free dining is included but im afraid when i get there disney wont honor it. I have called both disney and the website and i cant get a clear answer. Anyone know what disney would do in this situation when i check in? I dont wanna get all the way there and be told i have no dining . thank you anyone that can help

the free dining promotion requires a package, room at rack rate, tickets and dining (free). If you didn't buy tickets w/your deal, I don't think you can get the free dining. This problem has been addressed on these boards not too long ago. I sort of remember a discussion of very small print on a distant page. Hope someone else can shed more light.

How much are you paying for it? maybe it has actually included tickets and you arent seeing it? 6 nights at pop at that time should run about $528.

Hi There

I can help. I personally contacted Disney & Expedia - & YES there is fine print listed somewhere on Expedia that states your free dining will NOT be honored if you did not buy MYW tickets. On the expedia site it does allow you to make a purchase without the tickets, however, you will lose the free dining option at Disney because you did not purchase MYW tickets.

If I find the fine print on Expedia again, I will post it on here for you.

It wasnt expedia i used and yes im sure there are no tickets purchased. The thing that makes me think it should be honored is on my itinerary it says free dining special is included. I also read everywhere all the small print and it didnt list anywhere that you must purchase tickets and it let me book without tickets expedia doesnt. i dont know what to do now.

Anyone know if you purchase a ticket and dont use it will it expire? There are three of us in the room and we purchased 3 tickets but only 2 of us will be using the tickets. Will that third ticket expire when we check out or still be good? Doesn't matter either way but just wondering.

They dont expire if you've only bought tickets but if its a package they expire when you check out at midnight.

if you activate the "park portion" of your card (key card, dining card, ticket card) they will expire in 14 days...as long as you dont use it for park entry they shouldnt expire. You should be able to ask to have your tickets separated from the other stuff. People have said for over a year now that you can do this to be able to get dining and hold your unused ticket for various upgrades. I have yet to see someone come back and say it didnt work. and we all know the boards are a breeding ground for complaints so .... i know we would have heard about it. But alas I havent tried it so I cant say I know for sure. and at some point they will probably get around to fixing all the various dining loopholes. BUT this I know - an unactivated ticket is good till 14 days after it is activated (or all days have been used).

Just to update my situation after booking the trip and several phone calls to disney and the website i used to book , the website realized there error and bought me 2 pairs of 3 day passes to make the free dining valid. So the trip 6 nights in a dis hotel , 6 free tickets, free dining, and airfare for 2 people cost 900 dollars. sweet deal
