Okay...I can't seem to get my itinerary right.

So...if I check in at HRH early afternoon on Jan 6th and check out on the 8th... what ticket package would make the most sense? All we really want to do is check out HR. Also...we are "night birds" and City Walk sounds like our type of place.

The plan WAS too hit City Walk the night we check in (6/6) and then do IOA and US the next day. But to my understanding we would need 2 day tickets. Not 1 day. See...I thought City Walk was like Downtown Disney. A place you could go for free. Come to find out you have to go through the parks to get to it.

As you can see...I am confused. Someone help me out please!!!!!!!:scared::sad::confused3:worried:

You don't have to go through the parks to get to City Walk...you have to go through City Walk to get to the parks. Some of it is free, some places have a cover charge.

OH! So it is like DTD? You can just hang out and enjoy whatever outdoor activity there is. But if you want to go to a bar or something like that...you have to pay?

Yes, the only time you pay anything is to get into the clubs at night. Otherwise, it is like any other place with stores and restaurants and such.

You can just get 2 park pass at Undercover tourist. It is the cheapest and all multi-day passes include your admission to clubs at CityWalk.

Go to googlemaps and take a look. You can see exactly what everything looks like.

CityWalk is mainly restaurants and clubs and the clubs charge a cover so you would have to pay if you wanted to join in. Parking after 6pm is $3.00 and unless you're taking a cab, you would park in the garage and walk over. If you wanted to have a drink and listen to the music, there are several places you'd enjoy. There is also the movie theater and the new mini-golf course to play. There is no ticket to use and your theme park tickets would not be affected. If you wanted to go to CityWalk's clubs w/o paying the cover charges, most multiple day tickets include the Party Pass that takes care of the cover charges but the ticket would have to be activated at the gate before you could use it.

NOW I'm starting to understand. So the evening we check-in we could just hang out at City Walk. And the next morning get up and do IOA and US? We would just purchase 2 park-to-park tickets and be set correct? We are staying on site so we would also have FOTL.

Because you're staying at HRH, you will either walk or take the boat to get to Citywalk, instead of parking in the US/Citywalk parking garage. Walking is usually quicker.

At Citywalk, there are a mixture of bars, restaurants and stores. Most of the stores open at 9am, some restaurants (HRC, Margaritaville, Bubba Gumps, NBA City and Nascar Cafe) open at 11am for lunch while others (Latin Quarter, Pat O'Briens, Bob Marley and Pastamore) open in the early evening for dinner, and the bars open in the later evening (possibly 7pm?). The bars will charge a cover as soon as they open. Some of the restaurants (Margaritaville, Latin Quarter, Pat O'Briens, Bob Marley) start charging a cover after 9/10pm, but only to the customers that arrive after that time. If guests plan to bar hop, instead of paying a cover for each bar they enter, they can purchase a Citywalk partypass.

As for the parks, you can purchase a 1 day park hopper ticket. Multi-day park hoppers include access to the Citywalk bars (like the partypass) as a bonus, but as you plan to visit Citywalk prior to activating your park pass, I don't think you'll benefit from this.

Also, you are correct in that you have unlimited express at both parks by staying at HRH.

Yes...you would purchase the tickets and you'd be set. But remember if you want to save on the cover charges you would have to get the multiple day tickets...not just park to park for a single day but that would be up to you.

Not sure if anyone said this but the free Express Pass for hotel guests covers the day you check in, any days you stay at the hotel and the day you check out.
