Is this Parrot still out front of the POTC ride in Orlando?

The parrot (his name is Peg Leg Pete btw ) is no longer in front of POTC. When I found this out I was pretty bummed and figured he ended up on some exec's desk. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when during my tip this past January I came across Pete at DTD He is in the "World Of Disney Store"

How long has he been gone? Was it done during the refurb?

He was so cool~
