Okay, so I can not STAND scary stuff. I can watch a movie and have nightmares the rest of my life about it. Case in point....Jeepers Creepers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.....etc. I'm a big baby....so I will not be going :)

Anyhow, my husband loves the whole fangoria thing....he actually wanted to get in to the school for it, but never did. So I know he'd LOVE it....again, I'll never be a big girl and go with him LOL I would rather enjoy Mnsshp with the little ones.

So I have a few questions. If I send him and my teenage son over for HHN, what all do they need? Tickets I know...but do I need to buy a fast pass? Any kind of extra parking fee? Just trying to figure out how to make this happen for him....without making him take care of a lot of it when he gets there.

Thanks :)

If your husband and son like Fangoria and stuff like that, they will LOVE HHN! You would need to purchase a HHN ticket for each and I would strongly recommend the Express Plus passes as the lines get VERY long. Parking is $12.00 unless you have an AP or can drop them off. Check out www.halloweenhorrornights.com for more information on the ticket prices and dates.

Parking fees are usually extended until 8pm on HHN nights. So dropoff is the best bet.

But then I'd have to get back out and pick them up with 3 little sleepy children and a grumpy teen girl LOL

I was actually thinking about doing something fun with them while they were at the HHN, we're actually staying at Disney, so lots to choose from for the little ones.

We already have a night for MNSSHP, so again....I'd figure out something to do with the younger ones and not want to be bothered with picking my husband and oldest son up later.

Still trying to make a decision.

I see from the links for fast passes, it's 69.99 for a fast pass, per person for the 2 nights we have open...so that probably wouldn't work out. Is it really that bad without one? (This would either be for the 27th of September or the 3rd of October)

The27th or 3rd are peak nights. Its going to be real hard to see it all..

Like metro stated if you can get the Express, they can do it all..

HHN has a huge following, people wate for this event every year. And the crowds are thick..

Its a must see for horror fans.It something they will talk about all year, its that fun :thumbsup2

Will they be visiting Universal Studios during the day? By having a normal day ticket with a HHN ticket, they can do stay and scream. This means that they'll be allowed to stay in the park prior to the HHN event beginning, although they'll have to wait in the designated waiting areas like Finnigan's. This will give them a head start vs the crowds entering at the gate and its very possible that they will be able to do 2, 3, maybe 4 houses quickly before the crowds catch up to them.

Also,I see your from Georgia.correct me if I'm wrong, but Coka cola will be coming out with therenew cans with discounts on the tickets for Fl-GA residents. This can offset the price to make the express pass more affordable!!

Maybe you could drop them off and they could take a cab back? It will be pricey but they could go and have a great time and you wouldn't have to worry about dragging the kids out. Or better yet...why not call Mears and see if they could arrange a ride back with them? They charge $16.00/rt per person and provide excellent service. Just a thought and I think your husband and son would really enjoy it.

Thanks :) Actually I do see that Mears is on an offer right now for RT fare and tickets to HHN from any Disney hotel or area hotel....might be worth doing it that way.

They do not have tickets to Universal during the day, so Stay and Scream is out of the question too :(

I'd hate to pay the money for the tickets only to have them miss 1/2 the HHN though....ugghhh, what to do what to do LOL

I don't drink Coke...but I'll have to check out the cans in the gas stations...etc. Wonder if it's just closer to the florida line? We're actually closer to TN so maybe we don't get those coke cans, but the ones from the TN plant?

What should I be looking for?

Thanks :) Maybe it's doable.....it would still be under 300.00 for both of them, with 2 fastpasses....hmmmm, maybe I'll have to adjust some things here and there and make it happen. Are the coke cans a discount for HHN or just the Universal Park? That could help offset the cost of the fastpass if I could save a bit on the tickets.

Thanks again to everyone for your help :)

Do I have some GOOD news for you! I have the Burger King discount code for HHN tickets for FL and GA residents: BKHHN18 AND there is another way to get them in cheaply and early. If you order the IOA upgrade tickets online for $15.00 each, they can enter IOA starting at 4pm and then go over to HHN via the back way! This is all looking good for you! :teeth:

Okay...so how do I order them online? I see the FL resident add on (15.00 IOA), but nothing for GA? Is there another site listed on the Burger King code?

Thanks again....YAY...he'll be so excited.

Hmmm...last year anyone could buy the IOA upgrade tickets...you might want to call 407 224-7840 and ask. The info on the cup says you can order them through the website at least 24 hours in advance. It's not on the website yet so I'm thinking this must be a new promotion they're doing. If the BK restaurants are giving out the cups now, I would think it would take affect very soon.

Thanks, I'll give them a call now.....wonder if they are open LOL I guess I should wait huh? Oh well....tomorrow will come soon enough.

Thanks again!!!

I just tried to call and they told me the BK promotion was for FL residents only :( The ticket person said that he didn't think that any GA promotions would come out this year....:(

I see it on their website now too, and it says for FL residents :( Crud.....so in order to get them in to the park earlier and purchase stay and scream plus fastpasses it's over 100.00 more.....why do they have to be so mean to GA Residents LOL

I tried to get through using my mother's zip in FL and it went all the way through, but I'd be afraid he'd get to the gate and be asked for FL ID....and he's not big on conflict situations LOL

If the BK cups say for GA and FL residents can someone please let me know and I'll call back....if not, guess I'm back to the drawing board.

The website has been updated and it says FL & GA residents for the BK promotion:

WhooooHooooo, I couldn't get it to do it online...kept saying the code was invalid when I'd put in my zip code so I just called again and got a GREAT CS person that walked it right though!!!! So early IOA admission, 2 tickets to HHN and 2 Express passes all for under 300.00!!!!!

Thanks so much!!!

Oh and I didn't even have to give her the code, just told her I was from GA and she said she knew the code she could use to get that to work!!!!

That's great! Glad you were able to get everything. Now...when are you going to break the surprise? ;)

Well, I keep on and on about how scary it must be 'because everyone on the DIS board is talking about it....bla bla bla'. Finally he said last night that we're budgetting for this next year LOL

I plan on giving it to him the morning of HHN...so it'll be hard holding on to them all week :) Hope he can get enough rest after the party to drive us home the next morning LOL I may have to help with that too...but I'm sure he'll LOVE the party. He used to get Fangoria magazines when we first got married 15 years ago.....he absolutely LOVES that stuff.

The only thing I'm sort of worried about is that my confirmation email says FL RES on the tickets.....acckkk!!! Praying that it won't be an issue, I mean they are shipping the tickets, so it's not like they don't know the tickets are going to GA LOL

Thanks again....I'm so glad I could get it all and at a cheaper rate :) He'll be sooooo surprised.

Acckkk, now DS mentions that he doesn't want to be a 'wimp' but that he doesn't want to go with his dad 'next year' to HHN. They don't know I've already purchased tickets, now what LOL He was saying all week how it was cool and how neat it all looked....etc, I really should have known better though.....ugghhh.

Guess I can drop all of them off at a Disney kid's club and go with DH....even though it'll be HORRIBLE LOL

I've never done the kids clubs though....hmmm, guess I'll need to start researching all of that.
