Someone Cancelled an appt I had today

I went to my nail appt today, and was told that I had cancelled it! I was like, no I didn't. I had cancelled my original appt on Saturday, because my FDIL was in the hospital. I called on Monday and rescheduled it for Tuesday. She said that then, someone called back later on Monday and cancelled it. She gave my name . Now, I don't have a very uncommon first name, not very rare, but not like Susan or Jane. I was not happy...they had nothing until 4:30, but my kids come home then.

I rescheduled for tomorrow, but my fdil is having surgery tomorrow, no time yet, hopefully it will be done before my appt. I did spell out my first name for the appt book this time, since the spelling is not the norm.

I am wondering if someone did this on purpose (I have no idea why), or someone cancelled the wrong day or something. It is really strange. The only person that knows where I get my nails done is my mil, she is the reason I go there, so I am clueless!

Chances are someone screwed up and either canceled the wrong person or forgot to put you back in the calendar when you called back...

That's what DH said. I was there arguing iwth the women, and she was like, well someone called and cancelled. I was really really not happy. Too much stuff going on right now. And silly me, likes to believe that the people talking to me are being honest... Oh well...

Thats what it sounds like to me too. I have a problem with people that dont take responsibility and like to place blame elsewhere. Hopefully its just a one time thing. Hope you are able to get them done tomorrow.

We had a reservation for 40 at a family run restaurant. We get there, and the owner says, "someone called 2 hours ago and canceled your reservation, I sent all the banquet room workers and the second chef home." He quickly looked around his nearly empty restaurant, and 40 paying customers in his parking lot, and says, "give me 10 minutes, we'll get the room set up." You never would have known there was a mix up, they were super. He did say it would be easier if we ordered certain items....a choice of 4 from the menu, and everyone felt that was fair. Only AFTER the evening was coming to a close did we learn that everyone who stayed to serve us, had been there since 8 am......this was almost 10 pm. They all came in early to prepare food for a wake for the restaurant owners brother that was held there a few hours before our reservation.

My appt is with 1 specific guy, and he is usually booked solid. This has never happened before, but then I have never had to cancel at the last minute before. I unfortunately canceled my appt about 2 hours before hand.

One of the stylists at the salon I go to was cancelling peoples appointments with other stylists and then telling them that she was available so that she could get more business for herself. She called me and tried that. I told her I would call back and talk to my stylist to reschedule. Turns out, my stylist never needed to cancel.

This happens all the time at the salon I go to. Exact same problem with another stylist just trying to get more business for herself.

I hate when crap like that happens.

I showed up for a hair appointment one time to have them tell me that they cancelled me the day before. Told me that the stylist (not my regular) decided to take the day off so she cancelled all the appts. They told me they left a message on my phone. Well they had the wrong phone number and I never received it. And I was pissed because I made the appointment 3 weeks earlier. I work far from home so it has to fit into a small window. And I was going on vacation the next day. I always have my hair colored before vacation.
The owner felt bad and ended up staying late to do my hair herself. Of course it was her sister that was the stylist so I didn't feel bad at all.

One time my DH and I went on vacation. When we got back we only had basic cable instead of the extended version with movie channels. I called the cable company and they said that one of us had called a few days before and downgraded it.

I explained that we were on vacation and did not call in, but she was adamant that we did. She fixed it right then, but I was still so annoyed that she refused to admit that there could have possibly been a mistake and instead one of us took time out of vacation to call the cable company about something so stupid.

, I would have asked her who they allowed to breach my account info and to send me to the supervisor because if they can change my services w/o having to verify my information, then it would seem they would let anyone obtain info from my account.. I am glad that everything worked out fine for you though, sometimes it is not so easy, like learning your "dead" and being told that you need to prove you are alive

One time my Doctor's nurse called me to confirm an appointment to have my tattoo removed. "But I dont have a tattoo." I replied. So she cancelled the appointment. Come to find out later they have another patient with the same name and I guess i cancelled her appointment! It ended up this same person shared several of the same doctors I go to...even my vet!
