Finally!
After 6 months and a stalled trip report.
Here are some photos of our Grand Floridan stay. We got the castle view of our dreams and we had the time of our lives. Our daughter's 10th birthday was perfect.
Many thanks to everyone on the DIS Boards who answered our thousands of questions.

Great pictures, looks like you all had a great time! The view from your room is great, I wish my family had that one when we stayed ther!

Beautiful pictures!!! Beautiful DD's!!! I was so happy to see the stroller picture--I was debating a stroller at least a couple of days for my DD's 5&8--now I know they will fit ( I didn't want to get one if older DD couldnt fit she would be sooo whiny if she had wo walk and 5 yo could ride!!) Thanks!! :earsgirl:

cute photos - love that view!

Love the picture of your daughters at Cinderella's Castle the little ones face looking up at the Princess is magic.
Glad you had a good time.

I absolutely loved the Pictures, it looks like you had a wonderful time!! How did you get the great shot of the castle? Mine never look that good!

12 Days till we get to POP!!!

Thank you everyone for the kind words about our photos. :goodvibes I haven't had the chance to read these replies until just now. The last few days have been so busy with back-to-school. Ugh! So many forms....I think that I have officially signed away every parental right (other than the right to hand over money) at this point.

annie1995,
To get the castle photo, we borrowed a friend's 5.1 digital camera and took the picture first thing in the morning. We went straight there when the gates opened so maybe it was the early morning lighting?
I see that you'll be enjoying the magic soon and I really do envy you. Can't wait to get back.
Hope you have a great time!

Great pics. Did that birthday cake taste as good as it looks?

Wow!! You captured the magic! Love the picture of your princess's in front of the castle. Your girls are dolls!

Your daughter looks like she is in absolute awe of Cinderella. That is a great picture.

Pics are awesome. I still have the others you've sent me. I promise I will send you mine. We've finally decided-we are staying at the Contemperary on the honeymoon! :earboy2:

That cakes looks great ... I would imagine that is something one can only order if staying at the G.F.??? We are staying at POP so I bet we couldn't have one ordered to be delivered to POP for DD's birthday .. or could we??

where did you order the cake from and how much was it if you dont mind me asking. we are going for my dd`s 10th in nov and I would love to order one for her
thanx in advance,
great pictures btw!

 scorpad99 and 3Aumillers....
We ordered the birthday cake through the nice Concierge Planner who looked after us BUT we found out about the cake right here on this board and it was me who had to tell them who to order it from and what I wanted.
The cake was from 1900 Park Fare (which is of course located inside the Grand Floridian).
Give them a call. They are super to deal with and I'm sure that arrangements can be made to pick one up or have it sent to your resort. It was only about 15 or 20 dollars.
Good luck! Hope to be reading your trip reports here soon......

Your photos are great. I was curious as to which building you were in at the GF and if you made any requests to get such a great view?

2pirates&2tinks:
We were in the main building. Concierge is the one and only option there. It is your very best chance of getting a castle view.
We really did enjoy the concierge services and the food and drink offerings but that was not the reason that we went for it. We wanted that view like crazy and it became my absolute mission in life to try to get it.
I requested it when I made my initial reservation and I requested it every single time that I spoke to WDW reservations or the Concierge Planning staff. We also faxed in a written request.
When we checked in, we were shown to a room with a view of.....the wedding pavilion. It had been a very long day and after a 4 hour flight delay with two very excited little girls, my DH just threw in the towel and started unpacking. We had a PS at 1900 Park Fare that we were just barely going to make.
I was undaunted however and quietly slipped out of our room and back to the concierge desk....and asked AGAIN, was there any way that we could possibly get a room with a view of the MK. The next day was our daughter's 10th birthday.
Our wish was granted.

I felt like I'd won the lottery.
I still do.
It was everything I'd hoped for. It was pure magic.
