Someday: the Sequel! A Dec 2013 PTR

I can not wait to see the kids "transformations" on this day!!!

I want to tell you that the tickets to the wishes dessert party are some amazing pixie dust from Bill and Tracy. I am sooooo looking forward to sending this time with them and enjoying this new experience. I have looked at so many different experiences this far, and I was in tears when Tracy told me about their gift. What an awesome time we will have... and what could be better then ending the night with Bill and Tracy??? :cool1:

We truly adore your family and are so looking forward to spending this time with you. Bill and I have learned that spending time in Disney is magical, but spending time in Disney with friends is priceless.

Oh my gosh you will LOVE the dessert party!! I've done it twice, once when they first started doing it and once during the holidays and it was amazing and beautiful and delicious! Sounds like quite the magical day!!!

Your Wednesday plans sound great! I am sure the kids, although already cute as can be, will be even more adorable since their last BBB and Pirate makeovers.

Hope you are having fun camping.

Girl, I know what you're talking about. John has "issues" AND "subscriptions" with his family that are much like those you have with your Dad. It's easier to just accept it and move on.
Dad did come into town on Monday. We met him at the truck stop. I heard you tell me to move on as he was sitting there. :rotfl2:

We have Wishes booked too (not the same day, but still ... ) and that is a GREAT idea. We do have CRT for lunch, but that's at noon. I think we'll skip the "meal" later on and just grab something with a snack credit around 4-430pm and then take full advantage of the money spent at the Dessert Party!
That is our plan. And I know that, at least in my kid's eyes, I will be mom of the year!!! And really... aren't those the only eyes that matter?? It's not something I do very often, we usually limit our sweets, but this trip is NO LIMITS... as long as no one is sick, it will all be great! :rotfl:

I am sure the transformation will be awesome!! I just ordered Gavin pirate costume. I was hoping I could get one 1/2 price after Halloween but that didn't happen. Of well, I found one that I think will be prefect for him... and of course Brenda has her Belle dress that she will most likely hope to live in! LOL
We all are so glad that we are going to Disney, but even more happy that we are spending time with great friends! I can't wait till the kids see you and Bill at POP. I think you best be ready for the biggest hugs of your life!!!

I do think this will be a magical day. It seems like the perfect day from beginning to end!!

I think they will have a different look this time since they didn't have glasses on the last trip. I think they will be every bit as cute though. Perhaps we will bump into at some point after the makeovers... have to go back and read your PTR again to see where you are this day!

*********************************************
I have been meaning to get another day posted but I must tell you... the Girl Scout camping trip really wore me out!! I have aches in places I didn't even know worked anymore! :rotfl2: The girls and I had a great time and they are already asking when we can go back. I have told them when we sell enough cookies to have a massage therapist on staff for the weekend! LOL J/K... probably next fall.

I will try to get any update today. I need to get Mickey heads cut out as tonight is our night to make the countdown calendar!!!!

By this point, I will start to wonder where the trip has gone... and start my scheming to get back! :rotfl2: I know, I know... Jon has said that it will be a VERY VERY long time till we make it back again. I am hoping that being back in the bubble will help me get him to knock off at least 1 of those verys. :confused3 A girl can try anyway!

So this brings us to Thursday! Just like most days, we will have to be up early. We are headed to AK! This is the only time we will get to go to AK for the whole trip. I have to tell you all though, I know the kids will love the animals, but it is my least favorite park. I actually debated not doing AK at all... Then I knew the kids would be disappointed. So I compromised... It's one, partial day.

We have 3 fast passes...
First is the Kilimanjaro Safaris. This is my favorite ride in AK. I am guessing we will try to hit it first at park opening and then use the fast pass. The last trip we hit this each of the days we were there... and one morning we hit it 3 times in a row! :rotfl2: The kids really did like it.

We also have fastpasses for Expedition Everest, which I am not even sure we will use. And Dinosaur. I am still on the fence about Dinosaur. I was thinking that Gavin would like this... but I am also thinking it might be a little scarey for him yet. So I guess I will play it by ear. If we don't use the fastpasses, oh well! I had to pick 3 anyway and couldn't get all Safari passes. :rotfl:

We will be leaving the park probably around 4:30... although I am hoping to hit the parade, if we can. We are headed over to Hoop-de-doo!! This will be our first time at Hoop and Jon and I are both excited. Did I mention that we are going to be with Bill and Tracy at Hoop... that alone is exciting... It means that even MORE laughs will happen. Don't laughs always happen when you are with good friends??? :flower3:

After Hoop it will be back to Pop... and hopefully soon off to bed. I have a feeling this trip is going to wear us all out. Seems like we are in constant GO mode! I am a little thankful that once the kids go back to school it's only about 2 weeks of school then a BIG break. They may be in need of some downtime over Christmas break!

Love your plans, but a little disappointed that you don't love AK. We prefer it over the Studios 75 to 25%. So many things to see and do. You should take the kids on the train ride to Rafiki's Planet and you can go to the petting zoo, maybe see an animal in the vet clinic being worked on, meet Rafiki.

Knowing of your son through you, I think he will be fine on Dinosaur. It's a little jerky, but it really isn't all that scary.

Have you done It's Tough to Be a Bug? We love that (although the girls have never done it and I doubt they will).

Don't forget to see Festival of the Lion King or Finding Nemo...both terrific shows.

So far this is the only day I think we are not in the same park.

In over 25 visits, we have never done any of the dinner shows.

I think Gavin will be fine on Dinosaur. Jack was a little scared at first but he enjoyed it and he was 4 at the time.

I'm with Kathy on Animal Kingdom. I love it! I remember being on the fence about Hunter riding/liking Dinosaur. We ended up watching a special on how Disney make Animal Kingdom and he saw how the dinosaurs were constructed. So, he knew they weren't real and was fine with the ride.

We are so boring, you are making us way more exciting and fun than we are :rotfl:.

WOO HOO!!! I can't wait for this ADR. I don't need to do a PTR, I will just let you tell everyone where we are going to be :thumbsup2. All I can say about Hoop is .... Booze included in the table service credit here :lmao:. We are going to have fun :goodvibes.

Mr D LOVES Dinosaur! In fact he insists on going on it multiple times! It is jerky...too jerky for me anymore, but I don't find it all that scarey...of course my Daughter in law refuses to ride it because she said it scared her so bad...

Since the first time I rode it I knew what to expect I found it a little funny and campy. Mr D loves the part where the dinosaur comes out with a smaller dino in his mouth... my daughter hates it!

It really depends on the child. Mr D equates the ride with video games... he knows they are not real.

Sorry...I was NO HELP AT ALL!

Catching up here....

Absolute joy on your kids' faces with the big reveal!! Great job! I loved the Mickey pizza - what a great idea. Your DD's happy singing in the shower, so precious. :)

Sorry about the car worries but we'll just have to pray for traveling mercies for you there and back. I like your attitude about the things that you can't change with your dad. If he knew the hurt that he caused I would hope his words would be different.

What a fun day with BBB and PL and the dessert party with Dis friends! So many choices and such small plates! I thought that was funny when we went since everyone was juggling plates and mini cups of desserts.

Although AK isn't up there with my favorites at WDW it is growing on me especially now that we've actually been on the safari. What a great experience. I can see where your kids would like that.

We'll just be arriving on the 5th.

I am not sure I would love DHS as much if it weren't for the lights. I think they are a big draw. I also have to wonder if the next trip (MANY MANY MANY years from now) if we won't do much less time at DHS. The kids won't be into the Junior characters and I am assuming that we will go at a different time of year... eventually! :lmao:

We did do Tough to be a bug last time. It was ok... But Lion King is on our list for sure this trip. In all honest, I think had we splurged for Hoppers we would have done more AK time... but we have so many "special" things at MK that make us stay in MK.

I love hoop dee doo. You'll have so much fun.
I can't wait!!! I think it is right up Jon's alley with corny jokes and things!

I think Gavin will be fine on Dinosaur. Jack was a little scared at first but he enjoyed it and he was 4 at the time.
I think I am going to Youtube and see if there is any Dinosaur videos and let him watch. I do think he will be good. He just gets so sensitive sometimes!

I do think we will at least attempt it. We might get one of those ride pictures with the kids covering their eyes!!! :lmao:

Oh my! We are boring too but put us all together and it will be a laugh fest from beginning to end!!

I do think I have spilled the beans on about half your trip! Maybe we should do a joint TR when we get back!!

Can't wait for Hoop! Although, it does make our trip half over.

You are always a help!!! It's always good to get different thoughts on things! I do think I'm going to see if I can't find some videos on that they can watch ahead of time. He was ok at T-Rex when he was 3 so I do think he will be ok... just an over protective mom here!

Brenda still sings in the shower... Most nights. There has been a few where we have been in a rush. In fact, at camp, one of the girls asked if she sang in the shower all the time. She told her of course, unless its a bad time in life. Broke my heart that she knows about bad times in life.

I can't wait for the safari. It really is my favorite ride in AK!!

Our daughter was 4 last time we went and my husband insisted she ride Dinosaur with us. I was SO nervous that she'd be scared, but she was fine. I would constantly tell her "Nothing in Disney World will hurt you, it's all pretend and meant to seem real" and then I'd tell her exactly what to expect (because at that age, THAT is more important than letting some ride or attraction be a surprise, like with a tween/adult, etc) She liked it all (Haunted Mansion, Test Track, Dinosaur, etc)

I'm hoping this time she'll like R&RC (I LOVE Aerosmith) and Tower of Terror ... we'll see though!

Sorry your Dad is being a jerk about the car. I am crossing my fingers that it will be smooth driving for you. My girls and I have done Dinosaur once. That was enough :) Avery sad she is going to do it this trip with Ms Kathy so we shall see. AK is one of our favorite parks. We are even more excited to be there when it is not a million degrees!!!

I think since Gavin things Dinosaurs are "cool" he should be fine. I on the other hand might need a chiropractor adjustment when we are finished!! :rotfl2:

I should make Miss Kathy take Brenda and Gavin too! :rotfl2: I can imagine that AK would be a terribly hot park in the summer. I have been thinking about things and I am kinda wondering if AK is my least favorite park because it was also the COLDEST days of our trip last time. We had on winter coats, gloves, hats and still froze to death... That is saying a lot when you are from PA!!

Hi,
Followed you over from kat's tr. Sounds like wonderful children you have.

The pizza story was great and I loved the hat he got.

We will be in AK the same day.

Look forward to reading more.

Yay Scott's here!! Tammy he will be a Dine with an Imagineer with me and Bill :).

Welcome Scott!!! So glad you were able to join in!! I have to remember to pay Kathy the finders fee! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the kind words about Brenda and Gavin. They really are my world. Not sure how I got along before them... especially since Jon and I are so boring without them! :rotfl2:

That pizza hat is the root of many arguments between Brenda and Gavin right now. It all started when Gavin said he would share with Brenda. Seems they both want it at the same time. :rotfl2:

Don't look at the projected weather for our AK day... I'll tell you now, it says THUNDERSTORMS! :confused3 I know its still a long way off but since the weather was down right freezing last trip, I have been checking the weather here and there. Temps still look awesome though... so I can deal with some rain!

Oh that is awesome!! It really is a small world... It's a small world after all... It's a small world after all... :joker: Is it stuck in your head now??? :joker:

We always have bad luck when we go to AK with my parents. The year I was pregnant it was absolutely frigid. It was so miserable. Then the last time we went with them it POURED! Even once it stopped we were still walking around soaking wet and cold. But when we go without them... it's great! Hmmmmm...
