Hello,

I am not a very good photographer and just have a basic digital camra. I have a Kodak C360 it has lots of options but I don't really understand what they do.
I would like some basic tips for taking nice clear pictures of the scenery at WDW and pictures of family.
I would also like some tips on how to take firework or spectromagic pictures.
I don't like to spend ages taking pics though as everyone walks of and leaves me is it even possible to get good shots quickly?

If you don't want to use the more advanced features of the camera, just leave on Auto or Program. The camera will decide for you the settings for aperture, shutter and ISO that best suit the scene. Can the camera do that???

Basic tips;

Get close! Fill the frame with the subject/s of your shot

Watch the composition. Let the eye lead to the main subject.

Watch for "stuff" in the fore and backgrounds (wires, other people, cars...) you don't want distractions from the main subject.

Look for the best light. Harsh sunlight at mid day will flatten out your subjects and give odd shadows. Overcast days are great, the golden hour in the evening is awesome.

Don't plop the subject in the center of the frame, use the rule of thirds!

Thanks I know the camera has an auto function it also has like functions for nighttime and movement and stuff.
I think I will read my little book again soon

The one thing that can improve photos most effectively (and for the lowest cost) is some form of camera support. Most unsharp photos are caused by blur, from camera motion.
It doesn't take much to be noticeable. A monopod is probably the smallest and lightest solution.

This is not just for SLRs either, I greatly improved my photos from my Kodak DC4800 P&S by using a monopod. Give it a try and see how well it works!
