Just back from a great trip to Disney World...It was magical as always....but a couple things I did notice that I thought would be some improvement to the parks...now I am a 49 y/o Male Disney Lover...would go as much as I could, so believe me...no need to flame me over these...just some thoughts that would help IMHO...after all, are you like me? When you talk to a person who does not like Disney...what is the reason? I HATE THE LINES...Right? sooooo....

1) Disney has done some improvements in the wait lines for attractions ( new cover at HM...new interactive game at Soarin)...but they really need to do more of that...more covers...more fans...more misters..more entertainment in the lines..such as..stuff to read..trivia...what inspired it..what has changed since it opened...facts we do not know...preshows...the more we are entertained in line the shorter the wait seems to be the happier we are...

2) If the attraction is ready, don't make us stand in a line...our legs and feet are tired...I would much rather be setting down waiting than standing and waiting...this is obvious at the concerts at the shell across from the American Pavilion in Epcot...why on earth have hundreds of people standing in line when the place is empty? It makes the area way to congested..and makes us mad and sore...Another example I noticed was at the American Adventure in Epcot...the CM helped the special needs people in...came back out and made us wait at least another 5 minutes before opening the door...why? We are tired and want to set down!!!

3) I know this one will not get anywhere, but, when an attraction exits into a store its a mad house...hard to get out...and again makes us mad...now I know you want to sell my child that $10 sword...but if we want to shop we will go in the store...don't force us in there...

4) A couple of the rides we really expect the CM to be part of the fun of the ride...think HM...TOT...POC...its important to us that they be in Character..its fun...this time I noticed quite a few CM's who did not "play along"...Now I am sure its hard to work 8 hours and be "on" for the whole time..maybe trade out with other CM's...use the CM's on those rides that have the personality for the rides. The same goes for the 50's prime time cafe...we go in there and pay extra to be entertained also...its hard to take "mom" serious when she is hard to understand because she talks so soft or has trouble with English.

5) I noticed a couple of times DVC CM's handing out stickers to kids as they went by...and the kids thought it was the greatest thing...which leads me to another suggestion...In the year of a million dreams promotion we all want to spend the night in the Castle..or win a Disney Cruise...but you know...even small..inexpensive stuff makes us feel special..makes us feel like you appreciate us there...stickers...pencils...small candy bar...I think the more people that win something the happier they are...maybe as a group exits say Philharmagic they get a coupon good for an ice cream bar...I know there are small prizes...but I think if you gave more even smaller stuff...more people are happy...

6) Now this one is a gripe...I have been to MK many times and the El Pirata Y restaurant has almost always been closed...well this last trip..being spring break it was open...yee haa...always wanted to eat there...so we made plans to eat dinner there...my daughter wanted noodle station so we went there first..got her food then walked over to El Pirata...only to find it closed at 3.. Now trust me here...you could hardly move for the people in MK..and they close a restaurant at 3? Give me a break...either leave it open all day or don't open it at all...yea I know the times are listed in the program...but who on earth would have thought they would close early?

Ok..I guess thats about it...it was a great trip..we had a blast...just I think with a few minor changes could be even better...

Just my 2 cents

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I agree with the prizes for YOAMD, but it is basically a sweepstakes, and those prizes are alloweted out just so. I know a few people have mentioned small dreams they received. Plus you were at the parks during a busy time. I was there last year and the only thing I ever saw were a group of people with the ears on or the laynards.

Where in Northern Michigan do you live. I see you are getting your Spring time snow.

Good points. In August last year we won Dream Fast Passes at Epcot. That was pretty cool.

I live in a small town right on Lake Huron...half way between Bay City and Alpena...and no snow here....YET

I agree with the small gifts too. Ive been to Disney several times since they started the year of a million dreams, and no one in my family has received a thing...not even a sticker:confused3 . I think it would be a good idea to give out passes for a free popcorn or ie cream or somethin:goodvibes

I agree with you on entertaining those of us waiting in line with some trivia, that's always fun. and yes, the rides are more enjoyable when the CM's are in character, you wouldn't think it makes a difference but it does.

I won a drem last Dec. it was the fastpass at Disney Studios, a great prize to win, but even if all I had won was a pencil it still would have been exciting.

I have vacationed a few times in Tawas, it's so beautiful and I love little towns. We also canoed the Asable River, (sorry if I spelled that wrong)
