Some rooms not available with a package?

Was looking online at availability and tower theme park view rooms at the CR are available during our dates but for room only reservations. When I try to add tickets and deluxe dining, it says that type of room is not available for packages! Do they set aside so many rooms for room only and so many for packages? It doesn't make sense to me why Disney would not want as much of my money as they could possibly get, which would be from allowing me to book a package with deluxe dining!

Have you tried calling WDW and asking if a package is available for your dates?

I know what you mean. I ran into same problem just the other day trying to possibly rework my reservations to suit the new offer at 2 different resorts. Doesn't make sense to me either . I finally just gave up and am sticking with what I've got.

Yes, I did yesterday and they told me no, but I just called back, talked to a wonderful CM named Newton and was able to book it without any problems! Thanks to everyone for their help!
