Well.... we are headed out tomorrow :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc and I have a question. I know every other time we have went when we got our room keys my name was the only one on every key ( ressie made under my name). My youngest son always got p.o'd cause he wanted his name on it. I was wondering since they are now doing the biometric on every card and you must sign them if the new room key cards have each individuals name on each card. I was wondering this also for the EMH bracelets also. Do they scan your card and give you a bracelet? How do they know somebody isnt letting others use their keys after they have already used it for id to get a bracelet. Say somebody is in a disney resort but maybe friends of theirs are in a non disney resort is there a way to catch if somebody is sharing their bracelet if they dont scan your key or something?
Just curious. Thanks for any info. I figured those who have gone recently could answer this for me. Thanks

every person in your room now gets a room key with their name on it, so your son will be very happy.

As for EMH, they take your room key and scan it thru a hand held scanner and then you get in line to get your wristband.

Does anyone know if they will issue a key for a 2 year old with their name on it? She'll be two weeks shy of her third birthday and I am afraid that if older brother gets one with his name on it, she's not going to be happy if she doesn't get one too! Even if it doesn't work, she would be happy just to have it!

When I was at WDW in may I was surprised to have a card with my name on it, this was the first time it happened for me. Also, I think they have changed what happens to get the EMH wristband because I just had to show a card to get the wristband. My card wasn't scanned. While the CM wouldn't give someone a wristband to give to another person who wasn't there at the time, she did give my parents wristbands without a good look at their cards after I confirmed that they were with me. This was at MGM Studios in front of the ABC theatre (or whatever it's being called now). Scaaning the cards so that someone with a large group can't have one room on property and get everyone wristbands when the rest of the group is staying offsite.

Is the scanning new? Mine wasn't scanned at MK in March or MGM in May.

Our cards were scanned when we went June 4-12. They probably don't have all the handheld scanners yet, but they were scanning at AK and MK.

They did not scan our keys at MK on June 27th. DW and I had individualized kays for the room. I was the only name listed on the ressie. All other info was given at checkin.

We stayed at Shades of Green in May. Since our room keyes are blank, we had to carry a green piece of paper with us as our SOG id. The ID's had only the room sponser's name on it and the dates we were staying. Nice to see that the Disney system is different in that everyone has their own personalized key to avoid key sharing to get the wristbands.

Wow I haven't heard about the scanning - we were there for EMH June 17th and ours were not scanned. This was at MK.

DBarber600...
I made ressies the other day and they asked for the names of the 6 and 8 yr. old and they will get room keys with their name on it...but not the 3 yr.old.
