Only a couple more days until we leave! This will be the first time that we have used the dining plan, first time with a child, and we are doing many more TS than usual (usually only do 1 a trip, but have 7 thanks to DDP).

My DD is 2 years old. She is generally good when we go out, but she is a typical 2 year old so patience isn't always a given. Her worst time seems to be when we finishing up eating and waiting for the check. Thanks to other threads, I know to ask for the bill when we place our drink orders at buffets. That covers us at Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe. Will that also work at fixed price places like Akershus, Ohana, and Mama Melrose (F! package)? Our other 2 ADRs are at Sci Fi and Via Napoli. Is there anything we can do there to keep things moving (like place our dessert order with our meals)?

Our Ohana ADR is at 5:20. I'm going to aim for us to check in around 5. Will we be able to make it back to MK for 8:00 MSEP? I think I read somewhere that you can tell your "cousin" how to pace your meal. Is that correct?

At most places DD shouldn't have a problem sharing with us. I placed a grocery order with some things I know she will eat (applesauce, yogurt, cheese, uncrustables, etc). I mostly planned to use those for breakfast and CS lunches, but will there be a problem taking outside food into TS restaurants?

Thanks!

I don't have any advice on pacing/getting your check at meals, but wanted to let you know that you should be fine to get to the MK for 8PM MSEP ;) when we have a 5:20 res we usually do get there around 5, sometimes we have been seated earlier and sometimes not. But invariably we have been out of there by 7, and that is even with letting the kids play with the entertainer's games! Enjoy!

We always take a walk around the restaurant or right outside if there is a delay between dinner/check. My husband and I take turns waiting for checks/walking with kids. You might be surprised, tho, we took my 18 mo last month for the first time and I was amazed how great he was! /there was so much to look at it kept him really quiet!

Have a wonderful trip!!!:goodvibes

Thanks!

Since there are 2 of you, one of you can always take her outside and leave the other to pay the check, if she is really disruptive. Your fellow diners will appreciate it. If she's only a little antsy, don't worry about it.
