It's been a week since we came back from Wonders so I thought I'll share some things:
1. My son prepaid parking which saved us some money. He chose parking that's right across from the ship. Very short walk from the parking to the ship. IT's called BRIC parking.
2. You have to wait in line until your time to embark. For example, we were scheduled for 11:30 am so we had to wait in line until 11:30 am. They were pretty strict about when you can enter the building to get the covid test. You can however check in your luggage first if you want. After checking in your luggage, you have to come back out and wait in line.
3. Once it's time, you enter a building to do covid test. Very simple and easy - do it your self. There were 2 screen with your reservation/boarding number (forgot which), you can check if you can pass or not to board the ship. We got e-mail later that we passed and should line up to go through registration which is showing passport and getting pictured. Looking up the information on the screen was faster than getting notified by the e-mail.
4. Once we showed our passport and got our picture taken we were told to get on the ship. Once we got on the ship, we got welcome by Mickey and Minnie. One host will take you aside and will tell you what you can do...like you can go to lunch (either buffet or restaurant) or go to your room. Luggage was outside our door when we got to our room after lunch.
5. Movies: I can't remember all the movies but for sure there was Shang Chi, Raya and the Last Dragon, and Jungle cruise. If you want to watch movies, make sure to arrive at least 1/2 hour early to see it. Since they have limited space, it get filled very quickly. However, there are other movies running outside where the pool is.
6. There was 2 live shows: Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic and Frozen. These also fills up quickly since limited seating. For boh show and movies, guests are seated every other row so seats are limited.
7. PALO: If you are interested in dining in Palo but couldn't get reservation, AS SOON as you get on the ship and was greeted by the Mickey and Minnie, you can either talk to guest services or open your Disney App and talk to dining relations to see if you can get the reservation.
8. Rotation of 3 restaurants: Your Head server, server, and assistant server rotates with you so that was really nice.
9. It was quite windy when we were at the sea but VERY HOT and HUMID when we docked in Cabo. We chose not to get off the ship because it was just too hot and humid. Note that line to get off the ship was very long.
10. Fireworks: Originally there was supposed to be 2 fireworks, 3rd and 4th night. Make sure to stand on "round blue spot" if you don't want to lose your place. If you are not standing on the "blue round spot", someone will take you to another available "blue round spot". From what I saw, all the spots were good. If you really want to watch fireworks, I would highly recommend you watch it on the first night and second night if you can. For use, due to high winds, 2nd night of fireworks was cancelled so we were glad we saw it on the first night.
11. Disembarkment Day: This was very confusing. You are assigned to eat breakfast at the restaurant. I can't remember but I don't think we were assigned to time so you can take your time to go eat. It took us forever to get off the ship. First of all, we were late coming back to San Diego and it took forever for customer to clear us. No one had clear understanding when we should get off. There was "express" line and line was long (I think express line was if you had your luggage with you?) but since we put out luggage out night before, we were told we will be called according to color of our luggage tag. They never called by color tags to let us know when it was our turn to get off. We had to ask few time if we can get off and finally we were told to go ahead.
I think that's it. Sorry for the long post...hope I made sense.
EDIT: 10/3/21
1. if you need to use the bunk beds, you cannot take it down yourself. It's locked. You have to ask person who cleans your room. We met our as we were going out to dinner and she asked us if we need to use bunkbed or sofa bed. We told her we need sofa bed but not the bunbed so when we came back from dinner, she had made bed for us. Note that you'll have your room cleaned in the morning and evening for turndown bed service. Each night, there would be animal towels on your bed with few chocolate which was nice.
2. Those who are using insulin, there's red box in the bathroom for you to put your needles.
3. There is mickey waffles at the buffet.
4. Potato hash in buffet and breakfast menu is the BEST! Its so tasty and crunchy!
5. I was surprised how good chicken strips were by the pool deck. I don't eat chicken strips but was recommended by a friend and was really good.
