Some Random Questions about Towels

Can you tell we're 10 days out and I'm about to start thinking about packing?

Anyway, I was just wondering if we need to take "swimming" towels or whether it is OK to use the ones in your room? (I know some hotels I've stayed in are funny about that).

We were hoping to spend some time in the pool after check out. Will that mean we need our own towels or can we borrow some from somewhere else?

Thanks guys :)

Five days for me :) so excited.
Depends on your hotel usually
However I'm not taking one as my first stop is gong to be Walmart where I'll be buying a disney related one, cheap and without having to lose space on outbound luggage.

We're staying at Saratoga Springs, and don't have a car, so Walmart is out for us. As it's our first trip, I'm not sure how things work on Disney resorts!

At Disney resorts there are towels next to the main pool for you to use, you won't need to bring your own.

I think as well you can take one of those pool towels to the water park and then leave it in the washing bin at the waterpark too (as the resort pool towels are same as waterpark towels as far as I remember).

Also not taking your own towel means more room in the case for shopping purchases at the outlet stores!

Thank you!

Taken towels from OKW pool to the water parks for a few trips until the last time we tried, we were told it wasn't allowed anymore. We just drove around to another pool where no staff were watching.

We have hired them before at the water parks and from memory I think they were yellow. Now we don't bother we just go to a pool, like Wayne, hope nobody is watching, and grab a few of them instead. Those towels are normally white.

We just return them back to the resort later. Have a safe trip we are SSR too on the 18th so may see you there.

We'll be the 28 year old looking like all her Christmases have come at once, and the 36 year old looking like he wishes he was anywhere but Disney! ;)

At AOA I am informed that you take the towels from your room to resort pool. Haven't thought about at water parks guess I can do the same.

I had read that you could use your resort pool towels (OKW for us). Hadn't realised this had changed. How much are towels at the Disney waterparks?

I was just reading up about our Universal hotel (RPR) and this fact too (just in case anyone is wondering) - they supply towels at the pools for hotel guests, so you don't need any there either :thumbsup2

Our nieces have 'special' towels (Justin Bieber, One Direction and Moshi Monsters) and they've asked to bring them along. I suppose it'll help us keep track of where we are sitting when we get out of the pool!

Just to let you know, Disney Store beach towels are on special offer for £9 instead of £15 at the moment! ;) I had intended to not take one and use the resort's towels/buy a towel whilst I was there but I couldn't resist the Tinkerbell Towel I saw today! :rotfl:

we always take the SSP room towels to the water parks and then take them back to the hotel with us

Anyone know how much towels are to rent at the WDW waterparks please?
