Hi there,

Haven't been to WDW since 1997 and am finally going back. I have decided to include a side trip to Universal. I had a couple of quick questions that I have not been able to find the answers to.

1. How long does the drive from WDW to Universal approximately take?
2. Is 2 full days enough time to see it all or will I need to spend 3?
3. Is the Meal Deal thing that they offer worth purchasing or practical to use?

Thanks for any help you folks can give me,

I can only answer 2: From Disney to Universal it's about 30min drive.
& yes two days is good enough to see everything. Keep in mind to buy the Express plus. Good luck on your trip :thumbsup2

1) 15-30 minutes, depending on where you are at WDW, traffic/construction on I-4, and time of year (peak season or not).

2) Two full days should be enough.

3) I've never done the meal plan thing only because I *thought* you were limited in your menu selections.

Thanks for all your replies. After spending another full day visiting various other boards, I found out that 2 days should be long enough, especially if I utilize the Express Pass Option. As for the meal deal, I have to agree with you that the selections are too limited and we are going to pass on the whole idea.

Thanks again for your quick responses,

the meal thing is great if you have finnicky kids (like me) the options are 4 resturants in USO and 4 places in IOA, you also have the option of one resturant in each of the resort Hotels if you're a guest. Just one thing, if you kids like the chicken finger, pizza, hot dog route (like mine) this isn't so bad, but you have to eat as well and you will pay the price for food as well. maybe it isnt such a deal if your kids are grown, or if you want a nice sit down meal to rest and reflect on rather that sitting in a somewhat "fast food" enviorment.

Can you elaborate a bit on that? I have not heard of the option. :confused3

I believe that option is available with the vacation package where kids eat free not the meal deal. The meal deal only includes 3 places in Universal and 3 places in IOA and you also pay for the meal deal.
