Yes, unless points for the whole reort are reallocated - and then there is still not much wiggle room. You can likely count on the points not changing.

i know the dates can change in each season depending on when holidays are. but i was wondering if these points go up? and if so how much? i heard that points will can go up on everything outside of the dvc resorts but the dvc resorts stay the same so i was just wondering if this was true???

The total number of points for a resort will never change. Any increase for one room must be countered by an equal decrease for another room. On the other hand, the points required for a Disney Collection stay or a cruise are not capped in any way.

I have a Beach Club studio for the first weekend in November that I reserved in July. If I had wanted weeknights, I probably would not have been as lucky. Beach Club and BWV are smaller resorts, and the 11-month window is important. If you can be happy at your home resort, you will have better luck there, before the 7-month window opens. If you can't be happy at your home resort, you might should have done a little more research.... I'm thinking you will find that you will enjoy your stay, wherever you land.

If you call right at the 7-month window, and your dates are flexible, you can probably get into BC or BWV. You might want to have a pre-booked backup reservation at AKV; try for the resort you want; and waitlist for the dates you want, if they are not immediately available. BCV and BWV are most difficult during the food and wine festival in the fall, which does not always immediately come to mind as a busy season.

thanks for your help! we usually avoid disney when its busy. we usually go anytime in january and anytime in september when the crowds are light and when there are no events going on. im hoping its not hard to book outside our home resort because they certainly made it seem like it wouldnt be so hard...

There has only been one full resort reallocation, that was OKW in 1996.

Adv season studios went from 69 pts per week to 80. Other seasons or rooms lowered, some were raised. As other posters have stated, the entire resort point usage for the year has to remain in balance.

That applies to DVC resorts only, non-DVC Disney resorts, Interval Interntional Trades, cruises, Adv by Disney, etc. can change at anytime.
