Some questions about Animal Kingdom Lodge

Is it really easy to see animals all the time? If you are not staying in a Savannah view, are there other opportunities to see animals?

If i'm lucky enough to get a 40% code, i think i'd try to stay here instead of CSR-i think ds6 and dd2 would get a real kick out of it.

How's the pool?

A lot on the weather. We have never stayed there, but from visiting we would say that in the hot summer it is probably more difficult than in the Fall or Winter. Some animals were certainly visible during our visit in Dec., but I have read that in the summer they lay back in the shady areas. Yes you can walk out back of the AK lobby to see the animals in a viewing area, provided they are close enough for viewing.

It also depends upon the time of day. When I stayed there last year, I think that I saw more animals in late afternoon (3-4 PM) than I did in the morning. However, this may have just been luck.

Wondering the same thing, we booked a Club Level Savanah view because of the 40% discount card that came in the mail, hoping to see animals from my room but wonder if the noise from the construction will scare them away?

In May, I saw plenty of animals. I had an awesome time watching all of the animals.

There are three savanna areas at AKL and each of them has a public savanna outlook. Also for the main savanna there are outlooks along the hallways of Zebra and Kudu trail. I think there are many different view points to see animals. When we stayed at AKL in a pool view room, we saw lots of animals, just not from our balcony.
