My DD (6yo) is having problems keeping her blood sugar up. She has a genetic disease that affects her ability to control it normally (not diabetic) called Glycogen Storage Disease. I think she had a growth spurt (which is good news) and now needs her daily eating and med schedule adjusted.
We were up in the middle of the night with her having a pretty low blood sugar trying to get it up and woke up with a pretty low one. I also went up to school and checked her at lunch and it was slightly low. She is at risk for seizures and other problems.
For those that pray, please say one for her that we can get her schedule worked out quickly and it takes care of the problem.
I know we will get it worked out, but I really worry about her until we get her blood sugars stable.
TIA
Melinda
