I know it’s a way off yet but I was already looking at port adventures for Our Hawaiian Cruise. And found great tours on each island. So today for fun I looked them
Up again and to my disappointment 2 of the 4 weren’t listed any more. I’ve never seen this happen before is there a chance thst Disney would add them back or even add new ones. There really isn’t anything else we would like. Just looking for thoughts

Hawaii is not a frequent destination for DCL. In my experience, when they add a new port or go back to port they haven’t been to in a while, they update the shore excursions at the last minute, in the few days before the first guests can book at day 120. They sometimes even add excursions after bookings have opened to some guests.

What you previously saw might be what was offered the last time they were there a few years ago. Since booking for the first 2020 Hawaiian cruise opens in about a month, they are probably working at updating the excursions.

I agree with the pp. What was there was probably the offerings from the last time they went to Hawaii. They are probably cleaning them up - removing some where they can't do them (due to changes in the port times or aren't working with that vendor). I would expect that there will be more added as they finalize the plans. But they probably won't be added until just before they open Concierge/Platinum booking window.

thanks for the reolies that does make sense though--Im sure hoping they add some more--the ones that are still showing up were not at all interested in

this is disappointing since I had some good tours picked out

hers hoping

If you found ones that you really want to do and DCL isn't offering it, I would look to book them on your own. I would hate to miss out on what I preferred to do if I could still do it without DCL.

Hawai’i is super easy to do on your own. We rented a car in every port and did our own tours. The car rentals are within easy walking distance to all the ports.

We learned on our Iceland cruise last July that another reason port excursion offerings change is due to the length of time the ship is in port. For our sailing, several really great excursions that had been offered previously weren't listed for our cruise because the ship was in port for less time than before. For example, the Pulpit Rock excursion that had been offered on past cruises required more time to complete than we would be in that port. I know of one family who booked it on their own as a private tour, though.

IMHO all of the excursions that were on the DCL site a couple of months ago were from the previous HI cruises years ago. I noticed they are are finally updating the excursions. The excursions have changed. Some are longer, some are new, some are no longer there, plus the prices have increases.

yes , totally agree. I'm the same, I'm on a September 2020 cruise and one of my ports is a new port, no port excursions listed yet and one port just has 1 port excursion listed, even though you can find a huge list of previous port excursions on the Disney cruise line blog.

We just have to wait it out. Most likely they will update the port excursions lists for the ports a few weeks before booking opens for Platinum Castaway Club members

We often book excursions through www.shoretrips.com. I learned about it years ago on a different travel forum. We have found in general they offer a larger variety of excursions for a less expensive price than booking through the ship. I know some people are leery of booking non-shop excursions but (knock on wood) we have never had a private vendor even come remotely close to not getting back to the ship in time.
