Some pixie dust for a Marine!

I've mentioned my Marine friend many times. He is on the Iwo Jima somewhere off the coast of Liberia, I think. They have been floating there since mid-July. That means he hasn't been off the ship in almost 2 months. His deployment began in March. Hopefully they will be home by early November.

I e-mail him everyday and right now he is very down. I wish there was more I could do for him. He is bored, tired of being on the ship, homesick, and I'm not sure what else.

So if you have a minute, please think of him and all the others who are out there every day to protect our freedoms.

Having a DH who has been deployed for 6 months on a ship, I know a little how he is feeling. Prayers and pixie dust are headed his way, it is definitely a difficult time.

It must be so difficult to be confined to a ship for so long a period of time (no matter how big that ship is).

I appreciate that your friend is over there serving our country. I will think good thoughts for him and I hope he is not feeling down for long.
